Harbourship Destiny, Sabine Canerra's Diary

Today is an auspicious day, as we've wrapped up the final preparations. Although Destiny has a somewhat limited supply of the food and water to keep the crew running, we'll be heading out to the Peloponnese soon enough. Once we moor at Freeport 11, our brothers and sisters in the Zoner way of life should be able to re-supply us without much trouble. We'll be lending our guns to the defense of the Freeport whilst we're there, and considering the stepped up Nomad activity in the region, I have reason to believe we'll be most welcome. The crew is on edge, because disturbingly detailed reports of a pool amongst the crewers taking bets on exactly what's waiting for us on our shakedown cruise have circulated back to me.
Although the weapons systems have been properly integrated to the powercore, they'll need proper calibrating, so we won't be operating as a warship as though we're some lackeys in the militaries of the Houses we came out here to get away from. We'll be able to properly do the tests in Delta, because Livadia needs the berth we're in.
Not that we need it anymore, being as the refits are done. The hangar bays were replaced with further cargo storage to carry more produce or people, so we'll be able to fly longer.

I know it has been quite a while, but I have to write this down. Although we're gathering any escorts possible, Nomad attacks on the Destiny seem to be increasing every day. As not even the Freeport is spared anymore, I'll have to consider other solutions. The Velvet movement is gathering military aswell as political influence, especially in Omicron Delta - our main supply vein. I have thought about this move for quite a long time, but contacting them will soon be unavoidable. The Destiny's weaponry hasn't aged well, so I'll only offer logistical support for now. If Melissa Jones, the leader of the Velvets, is interested in our services, I will do everything necessary for a major overhaul of the Destiny.
