As a mature person, one would have expected, by now, that one would accept responsibility for ones mistakes.

I have highlight the relevant part for your perusal.
You received the lesser part of the punishment.
Whether you decide to accept responsibility, for your actions, or just rage at how unfair life is, is up to you.
As for your Forum Account, I am sure that you, as a mature person, can manage restraint and not use it. Therefore I don't see the need for me to delete it.
