Remove Nomad Cruiser Missions / Replace Nomad Cruisers in Missions with Battleships - Lythrilux - 06-21-2018 I can't help but feel like the rarity of Battleship missions has increased, much to my frustration, but rather than address that I can't help but wonder what the point in Nomad Cruiser missions is. Some key points:
With that in mind, could changes be made so that Nomad Battleships appear in all but the low/med level anti-Nomad missions? There's a point to shooting/farming Gunboats and Fighters, but none in shooting/farming Cruisers. And Nomad Battleships are 10x more worthwhile to meet in a mission. Or at the least, if that's too difficult, could Nomad Cruisers drop Battleship remains? RE: Remove Nomad Cruiser Missions / Replace Nomad Cruisers in Missions with Battleships - E X O D I T E - 06-21-2018 If you want *guaranteed* Nom BS Remains, go to Major. Take the risk. RE: Remove Nomad Cruiser Missions / Replace Nomad Cruisers in Missions with Battleships - Sombs - 06-21-2018 Meanwhile, most lawfuls don't even get a gunboat-related commodity for hunting unlawfuls - while Major spawns battleships and their remains en masse. I like to think of it as supply and demand. After all, gunboat related commodities from unlawfuls don't build you cloaks. RE: Remove Nomad Cruiser Missions / Replace Nomad Cruisers in Missions with Battleships - Sombs - 06-21-2018 Which leads to the problem that you'd get masses of moneys for those remains for simply launching Hurricanes once the enemy spawns in a mission. Which would be much more convenient than spending an hour relogging a character over and over again and going through 20 high-level Nomad missions only to encounter 2 Nomad battleships in the entirety of that. Although I would not object to turning the spawn frequency down too, just as long as we don't have to encounter any more Nomad Cruisers x( RE: Remove Nomad Cruiser Missions / Replace Nomad Cruisers in Missions with Battleships - Implosion - 06-21-2018 (06-21-2018, 09:43 PM)Sombra Hookier Wrote: Which leads to the problem that you'd get masses of moneys for those remains for simply launching Hurricanes once the enemy spawns in a mission. You get masses of money after you invest a mass of money. Furthermore, there are other anticap missions. You can get more cash faster if you simply launch hurricanes in literally ANY other anti-cruiser mission. The cruiser missions against nomads aren't viable when compared to, again, literally any other cruiser mission. RE: Remove Nomad Cruiser Missions / Replace Nomad Cruisers in Missions with Battleships - Sombs - 06-21-2018 Go to Major. You claimed Capetown in Minor would be so important for "convenient" farming. Now you're complaining that you don't get the amounts of Marduks to spawn for effective lolwut farming in Delta. I think you really need to make up your mind on what you actually want and stop requesting just to have it. I think you really need to make up your mind on what you actually want and stop requesting just to have it. That claim was lore related, rather than gameplay. In the past, it helped that purpose, but with missions in Delta it's not as important for gameplay as it used to be. What's your beef with missions in Delta? Granted, I understand that it's not like before where you'd get Zoner nephs up in 99 (which you could let do all the farming work for you, before sweeping in and stealing their hard work *evil cackle*) but the current system is also admittedly pretty good has the potential to be really good. It generates activity and encourages people to log together to farm rather than doing it solo. It can allow for more farming to be done within a set time period. It's more akin to the proper PvE elements of games like Warframe. It's not like there haven't been cases of Core, Order, Nomad or Wild swooping in to ambush mission farmers either. All I'm asking is that the system could be improved, as it feels much more irritating than it should be, as the system is (increasingly?) luck-based and can be very frustrating as a result. A dash of convenience can go miles for improving the player experience, which can only have benefits for the server overall. One thing I would not mind is if Capetown could exclusively give Battleship missions, but they'd take place in Iota. I did have a few more points to make, but that would most likely get me a few more insults. Can't say I'm not disappointed by you. Oh well. |
