Well, I'm with a Liberty Carrier, so I guess I needn't worry about this.
I thought they were referring to docking slots or something. Silly me.

hey there Last I saw some ships had carrier slots capable of fighter use or bomber carriage. It might be a repetitive question but how do these drones work? are they AI controlling Fighters and bombers in the game? and if they are destroyed do they disapear until new ones take their place? so on

Carrier drones are NPC which you as carrier launch and give basic commands (attack certain ship, stand down, come to me , dock on me) .They have strong weapons and very strong shields , but they are stupid as any NPC.
If destroyed , you can launch them again after 60 secunds , you have infinite number of them , but you can only have one active , you cant have 2 or more activated simultaniusly, at least not yet , we will see what future patches will bring .
