Honoured members of the government of The Kingdom of Gallia,

My name is Christina Lauritz and I hold the position of Minister for Foreign Affairs in the government of The Bundesrepublik Rheinland. I was authorized to establish a diplomatic channel with you due to current events because the Rheinland government considers relations between Rheinland and Gallia as important and do not wish to risk that any misunderstanding or lack of information would endanger them.

I am sure you are aware that The Bundesrepublik Rheinland and The Kusari Empire entered in the state of war. However, because I am not familiar with how much are the Sirian NeuralNet services and media news channels available in the Gallia, I will make just a short summary to give you insight in this whole matter. You can skip it if you are informed properly, or use direct links I will add in the data attachment of this message.

The conflict started after the Rheinland forces, which are deployed in the Sigmas region in counterterrorism and anti-crime operation against the nefarious Gas Miners Guild which in the past tried to claim Sigma-15 system which is part of the Rheinland space and mainly is responsible for the terrorist attack on the Fulda Border Station, were surprisingly and massively attacked by the Kusari Naval Forces without any previous warning in the Sigma-21 system. We did not have any other choice than to consider this as an act of war and attempt to help the guild which was slowly losing the ground. After all, the GMG consists mainly of people of Kusari origin, so it is no surprise that they consider them as their own kin and feel some sort of urge to protect them regardless of what they did.

This became even more obvious when the Kusari tried to blame the Bundesrepublik for "attack on GMG and Kishiro Technologies civilian personnel". What is absurd, considering that attack in question was in fact against the station which was involved in the GMG´s combat effort because it served as a refuelling and resupplying point. Not to mention that both the government of Kusari and the board of the Kishiro Technologies were directly asked to stay away from the Sigma war zone for their own safety which could not be guaranteed during the combat operations.

Anyway, I am not contacting you to talk about matters between the Rheinland and the Kusari, the point is to focus on matters between the Bundesrepublik and the Kingdom. Like I said, we consider our relations, especially when it comes to trade and business, as important ones. Your government may have noticed that Rheinland corporations are - despite the very long distance between our houses - quite active in your region and import goods which is required by your corporations or even the state itself. Raw ores, metals and other commodities, some of which are important for your industry or even war effort, are brought to your house and then Rheinland ships purchase your goods and take it back to Rheinland, creating profit for your corporations, work for your labourers and tax incomes for your state treasury. And some of your corporations do the same in Rheinland, for example EFL Oil and Machinery even received Restricted Cargo License for two restricted cargo types because it was considered as enough trustworthy business partner even in such delicate matter. Also, as far as we are informed, in the last years there was even direct cooperation between corporation from both houses with some agreements, orders and contracts.

The Rheinland government is interested to keep our cooperation this way, or actually even deepen it - for example, right now we are considering to offer a multi-billion credit contract of national importance to one of your corporations. Do not be mistaken, please, we definitely do not want to ask from you to choose a side in the Rheinland-Kusari conflict. We just want to emphasize that we would like to continue the trade between our houses and provide you with requested goods despite the current escalated situation on the route between us.

While we could not affect it, we regret that you had to be dragged into the whole matter as it is and had to feel the consequences when Kusari decided to put several commodities you produce on the Rheinland export embargo list, such as cracking catalysts, cryocubes, magnets, nanotubes or several types of metals, effectively hitting your economy too. While Rheinland corporations can still bring mentioned goods to Rheinland using path through Bretonia, the same is not possible for your corporations of course and thus it severely limits their export options. Not to mention following step which made most of the goods of Rheinland origin subject of special taxes, what will affect incomes of your trading ships when importing from Rheinland too.

To conclude this message, we would like to know your point of view about our cooperation and if we can still count on you as Rheinland important trading partner. Also, we would like to know if you plan to be involved in the Rheinland-Kusari conflict in any way. Last but not least, if there is anything you would like to talk about regarding the current situation, or there is anything you think the Rheinland government can help you with, feel free to bring it to the discussion.

The Government has discussed this message you have sent us and finds that the trade agreements between our two houses are mutually beneficial, that through these agreements both the citizens of Rheinland and the citizens of Gallia benefit and that in order for prosperity to flourish this trade must continue for the good of all. As such, we see no reason to halt trade with your great and noble house, provided that you can guarantee the safety of Gallic citizens traversing the Sigmas.

You ask us if Gallia has any intention in becoming involved in the Sigma war, if we might have some plans to send agents, spies or perhaps even a battle-group into the Sigmas in favour of one side or another. The answer is simple, we are not invested in the Rheinland-Kusari conflict. We have issues elsewhere that we are dealing with, and so we will not be deploying the Royal Navy to that region.

We would like it very much for our relationship to continue madam, we see no reason for it to end and we hope that the feeling is mutual in Rheinland. However we would appreciate it if this line of communication is left open, should there be anything our two governments wish to discuss at a later date.
