Remove shield threshold - Titan* - 08-27-2018

Because of shield threshold, shields doesnt reflect its real stats.
Like Battlecruiser shield has 375K capacity but Heavy Mortar can deshield the BC in one shot and thing is Heavy Mortar deals 350K damage to Shield. What happened to 25k?

I discovered that shield threshold code causing that. i did many tests it just removing % of your shield capacity

Every shield in Discovery has 0.15 Threshold, that means every shield has %15 less capacity. I think it needs to be removed after that shield capacity can reflect its real stats.

So yeah, shields actually %15 easier to kill. Removal of threshold will buff ship shields by %15. All of them, from fighters to capital ships

Or alternatively change the stats to reflect them properly. Either is fine though.

for that you need to manually write every shield stat numbers to infocard, if you change shield capacity like from 10k to 8.5k, it will give you 7.225 shield capacity because threshold still there.

what info saying:
Battlecruiser Shield
Capacity: 375.000

but real capacity is : 318.750
That is huge gap

Battleship Shield
Capacity: 500.000

Real capacity: 425.000

So that's why MRs will one-shot VHF shields! I knew I wasn't crazy; I always wondered why the numbers seemed off!

MRs are supposed to one shot fighter shields, and many other pieces of equipment are meant to function in relation to the current actual shield stats. To put it bluntly I would rather display the stats that are actually in the game than attempt to alter them this far down the line.

Isn't any leftover from the threshold actually added to your shields once they regenerate, hence the different % of shield when it gets back online? I actually enjoy that mechanic.

i dont think so its very random. It also starts from %0 too. Better to have real stats instead of random number generator.

Nah, the threshold for whatever brilliant reason does just remove shield capacity from the total.

When shields come back online, the amount they come back online with is based on the regeneration rate.

ie:
A shield with 100k capacity, 1k regeneration rate, and a 10 second offline time will come back online with 10% shields (10k / 100k).
Likewise, that same shield with a 10k regeneration rate instead, would come back at 100% shields (100k / 100k)
