I am contacting to say that all Serenissima assets have reported their arrival at Venice, safe and sound. The full force of the Venetian Lion is awaiting your orders, Capitano. They are eager and willing. I bring also news from my recon missão.
The road to Omicron Mu through Epsilon is lightly defended, with the entrance very close to Akabat, only meeting some resistance when moving towards the Minor jump-hole. I was almost caught by the Order elements when I went to Minor, but I found safe harbor, far from prying eyes and a very good position within Minor. A junker base, called Tarancon. Very close to jump-holes connecting Delta, Mu and Rho. Evading their patrols after some time, I returned to Ruiz and switched to my bomber, to scout the western approach to the Omicrons.
In Sigma-19, I've found out quite the curious passerby's. Gaians. A gunboat and a very heavy fighter. After some discussion I found out that they work for the Order, as mercenaries. An information I know the both of you will enjoy having. As my support, Balestra, finally arrived, we offered them a choice. Life in Ruiz or death where they stood. The gunboat chose death, covering the fighter's escape. Audio-file of the encounter, here.
Colonel, Capitano, there is also the matter of the need to increase the logistical supply runs to the front at Ruiz and if there is a decision, to Tarancon. Balestra and I are currently reviewing the shipment of XV-15's we liberated from our libertonian friends, as our ships are being repaired.

You are to take Costa and Canossa with you in an effort to draw a sense of the first target needed to fall to create a beach head. If we are going to commit to this war, we will need to ensure that success is within reach. The first priority is to scout the sectors for poorly defended supply lines and targets of opportunity, the second is a full report on the forces that our new enemy may call upon for aid.
Additionally, you are to make contact with the more... militant Zoners in the theater, and convince them to pass along what information they may stumble across. Wars are won through use of information and force as appropriate, and it would be a pity if we passed up an early chance to learn as much as possible while the enemies forces mobilize.

Legión forces have been stationed on Ruiz as well as Freeport 11 in Omicron Delta and are ready to deploy against the Order and it's allies. The legionnaires will be denying any and all trade traffic trying to get in or out of Mu and Epsilon from the positions we can effectively defend. This would leave Golanski's forces with only Omicron Sigma as a relatively safe route for supplies and effectively cutting their supply line to Omicron Delta and other Zoner hubs in the Edge Worlds.
While I doubt the minefield around Minor's jumphole would allow any large force to effectively assault without being bottlenecked into Mu's defenses, the Epsilon route is indeed lightly protected and securing the system should be much more feasible if we manage to successfully siege Fort Carthage, the Order's stronghold in the system.
Knowing Golanski's past actions, him calling the Corsairs for assistance is not out of the question so we must ensure that our rear flanks are vigilant. A counterattack from Omicron Xi or Omicron Kappa could be devastating for our effort.
The Legión Maltesa is thankful to have allies such as the Serenissima in these dark times for the Nación.
