Conall Vaughn was born in 793 A.S. to a monarchy loyalist family on Planet Cambridge. His youth was exactly what one would expect from a middle class Bretonian family that was faithful to the crown. He attended primary and secondary school, as well as going on to university. He had no siblings, and was always the center of his parents' attention. He completed a degree in Business Management at the University of Cambridge one year ahead of schedule, solidifying himself as the jewel of his parents' eyes. He then took on a low-level management position for one of Bretonia's premier corporations, Bretonia Mining & Manufacturing.

Conall took to his role leading one of the shipbuilding teams at Southampton Shipyard very quickly, and excelled in his role. He proved to be a master of logistics and team management, and served BMM faithfully from his graduation at age 21 until the age of 30. At 30, however, something changed for Conall. For reasons unknown, the young man suddenly quit his job at BMM. Having lived the first nine years of his professional career very frugally, he took his entire life savings and transferred it to a Kusari bank. Then, with just his clothes and a transport ticket, he abandoned his Bretonian heritage and followed his money to the first casino he could find inside the Empire.

As luck would have it, Conall increased his money significantly in a very short time. Or perhaps not luck - nobody knows. In a last hand of poker, he acquired the ownership of a Condor-class gunboat. Were it not for that, he likely would have been killed by the Hogosha chasing him away from the casino for doing too well. After barely escaping with his life, Conall adopted the nickname "Con" - Con Vaughn so nobody would ever forget his name - and approached the Bounty Hunter's Guild for membership. They took some time to train him on how to use his new toy, and then sent him out.

Life for Con now is raw hedonism, with a splash of killing - but only for the money. He still avoids the Hogosha whenever possible, but avails himself of every pleasure and enjoyment that Sirius has to offer. Although a member of the Guild, he only does assignments for them when money gets low. Unwilling to even imagine returning to the restrictive life of his "proper" Bretonian upbringing, Con focuses on getting out, meeting others and enjoying the company of beautiful people. And he intends on letting nothing stand in his way.
