On Account or Character Deactivation - Fraglithe - 09-29-2018
Hello. Good day. I have played Disco since around 2013-14, although I lately failed to log in recently due to real life issues.
However, I was at least trying to log in to the accounts between 6 month intervals, so I can avoid the deletion of my hard-won characters.
Now, I was under the impression that an "account" covers a multitude of characters, so if I log in on one character, it should have counted as logged in to the account as a whole. Or should I have logged in each and every character inside it?
Because after a long period of absence, but not less than 6 months, I discovered that I lost my bank character/transport, my dreadnought character, as well as my character which serves as the holder of very precious cargo.
Is there any way I can recover them? Apparently, the other characters I have (snubs, mostly) were not deleted.
I really wanted to keep them since it took me years to work on them, and real life eats me up right now. But I never want to abandon Disco, simply because it seems to be the best existing Freelancer mod server to date, in my opinion.

Each ship must be logged independently, as the ship itself is covered under the server files independent of each other regardless of whether or not they're on the same account.
Characters that are wiped after the 6 months of inactivity cannot be recovered, as the files that contain them no longer exist. The best way to avoid this is just log onto the ship, fly around for a couple minutes then dock again.

Log onto ship, sell any ammo, undock, dock again for autobuy. ezpz.
