Biography

Herr Baldur Ohlendorf, intelligence officer since 823A.S, part of the BDM Oberkommando, and is currently Generaloberinspektor and is thus responsible for internal security, such as counterintelligence, and well as keeping track of criminal databases, and information on hostile movements within Rheinland's borders.

Born to a family with a strong background in chemistry, Baldur graduated from university with a masters in chemistry, and soon found employment under Daumann Heavy Construction, working in the refineries as an chemical engineer. There he worked on getting the best yield of refined product from raw ore- be it diamonds, silver, copper or raw hydrocarbons, which became his specialty. During this time, Baldur hid from the chaos of the nomad war and kept hisself buried in the machinery, away from any Rheinwher recruiters. In 815, with a sudden re-interest in organic chemistry, he applied to and was accepted by New Berlin University to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry.With a new education under his belt, he went back to work from Daumann, but his old job lacked its previous excitement, so he resigned again. After a few years of downtime, pondering what to do next, he is now looking to see what else he can do for his country, beyond keeping one of its industrial giants running at peak efficiency and furthering its collective knowledge. Having heard rumors of aliens and other unknown beings occupying the omicrons on Rheinlands doorstep during his studies, he is resolved to study them in earnest before they can strike again and take over Rheinland, be in from the inside or outside.

In his time with the Buro, Baldur has found himself doing far more patrolling and paperwork, than research, to his annoyance. Yet out of a sense of duty to his house, he has stuck with it, and with time was promoted from Spezialoperationsabteilung to the Inspektorat. There, he dived into the patrols and counter-espionage with gusto, working hard to keep the citizen of Rheinland safe. In time, his efforts were noticed by the Oberkommando, and he started to rise through the ranks. Before long, Baldur was promoted to Generaloberinspektor, and became head of the department. This was quite the increase in paperwork for him, and he sometimes regrets not being able to pursue any reaserch, yet he knows that his work is for the good of Rheinland, so he keeps himself busy to drown out his regrets.
