Personal Log
It's been a year now since Ben and I arrived here and I find us accepted in ways like we have never experienced. No longer are we judged like we were on Houston because of government indifference and Ben truly has friends that are just that, friends.
She looks at the engagement ring on her finger and smiles
Erik has shown me his unconditional love for both myself and Ben. Ben has a father that he can be proud of and I have a man who can see past a shady past. I love him and know that I have big shoes to fill as a mother to Peter and a wife to Erik. I look forward to the day we exchange "I do's" and I can take his last name. I love my work and the people I work with but there is no better feeling than going home to him each day. We're both tired but we bring out the best in each other.
So many projects goings on between here and projects on Borneo. I need to plan a trip out there as I'm sure I will be needed. Dr. Oreste, as I understand, is heading that up.
I have the Nightingale commissioned but it's been risky. I haven't had the success of converting a cruiser into a medical ship with Rogues and Outcasts always shooting at it. I'll need to load it with goods and get an escort to Tau 44. We shall see.

Medical Log Entry, 1900
The recent battle in Tau 29 has flooded us with casualties. Literally dozens of pilots and multiple times that of crewman. The injuries varied from minor cuts and lacerations to severe burns and a couple of cases of putting some men back together. I'm learning rather quickly how ruthless the Outcasts can be. I mean, I've heard the tales but since I've been here, I've seen it first hand. Lucky for me I have a strong stomach.
I will post casualty counts when I get a final report.
The Nightingale hasn't been the project I had hoped for. It's turned into a combat ship more than a medical ship. I think it's time to upgrade my own ship for such purposes.
