Vessel Report:
Following Outcast encounters in Omicron Minor, myself and three other Core vessels (Two Fightercraft. One Battlecruiser class War Vessel) ventured further into Omicron Iota on my orders. My decision came about from the suspicion of more vessels being in the immediate area, before I continue I must note that all vessels that entered survived and have not shown any signs of infection or psychological drawbacks based on medical checkups.
Upon entry to the system, an "Ahoudori" class gunship (callsign RV-Pennybrooke) with no accomplices approached us rapidly, questioning our presence in the system. I proceeded to question the individual in return, but was met with more conflicting statements that highlighted a large probability of infection and or indoctrination. Statements reflecting this claim are supported in the evidence below.
I reached the conclusion after both questioning the vessel, and hearing the responses - to dismantle the vessel immediately. All ships in the vicinity opened fire on my order, and as a result the vessel was terminated. Something particularly important was that the vessel bared no equipment nor spoke in a way that would otherwise imply infection. Most vessels under infection also hold a distorted IFF and follow the said hints I mentioned - none of which were applicable in this case. I came to the conclusion that this vessel -while it neglected to attack us- may be under indoctrination or an individual with sadistic tendencies that support the alien agendas we know of.
Individuals such as this appear uncommonly, however I drew the conclusion that allowing something such as this to thrive - especially when it appeared to be coming from a person's free will, was intolerable.

I have redirected this communication to the Director of the Arcani, a human found in Iota claiming to be the "the harbinger of the end of civilization," is most certainly within their remit. I have also provided a certificate of recommendation for them to absorb you into their ranks, your ability to quickly process information and relay to command in an easy to digest structure makes for excellent intel management and you have clearly proven your ability within the field.
Albriech, as you can see from this agents report they are fully capable of taking on the task, even if at a beginners pace to start. I suggest reaching out to other inhabitants of our local omicrons to see what information is readily available, supported by arcani scouting parties into Iota. I would be keen to know if there is an increased amount of movement in the system or if its inhabitants are behaving any differently from the norm. Should there be no difference in activity nor behavior at the very least you should be returning home with some additional resources.

I have no reason to deny Agent Vampyroteuthis entry into the Arcani, clearly she has demonstrated above average ability in investigating matters on her own. I would be most interested to see what she can do with our support and resources.
In the meantime, we will begin looking into the events of the Omicrons, Agent Vampyroteuthis seems to have made some headway on this front as it is, therefore if she is willing I will assign her to the task (bearing in mind that refusal will make a poor first impression). Nonetheless I will give her all the support she requires.
