Daughter of the Revolution - Havok - 01-19-2019

Moving her way through the crowds in the Streets, the hood of her sweater was pulled deep into her face to try and cover most of it from Cameras and Security. She had to always keep an eye on the surroundings, to see if anyone had noticed her or was following her. It was all a race against time from the moment she had left the Skadi via the Pod and from here the Journey would only get tougher. Sara needed to find a place to stay for the night, she needed to rest. Pressing further towards the edges of the city, she began to traverse darker alleys in hopes of finding a cash-only hotel or place to stay.

She was happy to have made it to Stuttgart so far but now she faced more troubles. Going to Cologne would mean moving straight into a dead end and moving to Omega-7 meant she had to get by the Border Station. It would not be an easy move from here on out but it had to be done somehow as th authorities probably weren't far behind her. To Sara's luck, she finally found a small, rundown building with an elderly woman manning the counter, offering a place to stay for the night for only a few credits.

As she finally laid in the bed of her small room, her eyes closed. She needed as much rest as she could get to continue her escape tomorrow though her night would be occupied by dreams of the past two days.

2 days earlier, Battleship Skadi, Sigma-21

One of her friends came running down the Corridor of the ship, waving her arms frantically. Sara was confused as to what was going on. Shortly before reaching her and the others, the running friend tripped and fell, revealing the length of the corridor to the View of the few members. Rushing down the corridor came the ship's security detail with guns drawn. It seems that their plans and views had been uncovered. Now was not the time to hesitate as Sara ordered everyone to scatter and find a way off the ship. Looking back once, Sara rushed down a side corridor to her bunks, grabbing the prepared bag she kept in case of emergencies.

Gunfire was heard echoing through the halls behind her as she rushed to the back of the ship as quickly as possible, it seemed as if some of her co-conspiritors were opting to fight rather than run. She had no time to look back now, she had to reach the escape pods as quickly as she could before security could catch up. As she entered the Engineering Corridors, people were already watching her wierdly as she ran past them, into the escape rooms, locking the door behind her.

She stood before the escape pods and launched all but one before getting in and launching herself off the ship aswell, giving the crew and scanners something to work with as she made her escape. It would take time for them to scan all the pods and she hoped to escape in the time that it took. She finally had time to breathe for a moment, running her hand through her hair. It would take the pod a few minutes to reach a distance far enough from the ship for her to atleast try to navigate with the emergency boosters, but she had to try to reach someone that would pick up her pod.

As luck would have it for her today, as she drifted through space a Freelance tradevessel approached the pod and picked it up. She was greeted in the Cargo Bay with questions about her, but she tried to shrug them off as best as she could before being able to bribe the Captain of the Vessel to take her along to the destination of their trip, Planet Stuttgart. She was still weary of the Crew and Captain, unsure if they would bring "drifter" to the Authorities or if the credits she gave them had been enough, only time would really tell. The only positive thing right now was the fact that she finally had time to rest and think about what had happened. Who made it off the ship? Who fell in the fight? She would likely not find out very soon, which made her worried for her friends, but she was still fearing her own life at the moment, contemplating her own next move.

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Havok - 01-19-2019

Planet Stuttgart, the next morning.

Sara awoke to a rustle outside of the door to her room, which sent her shooting up sitting in bed. As the noise outside subsided, she decided to not go back to sleep, instead to head into the small bathroom adjacent to her quarter and wash up before getting ready to head out again. The elderly woman at the Counter greeted her as she walked by and wished her a nice day, to which Sara was only able to chuckle and wave before she dove into the streets of the city once more.

Her plan was quite simple in her mind atleast, find a vessel, steal it, get out of here, though it wouldn't quite be as easy she feared. Passing by people on shopping trips, going to work, frolicking with friends or simply having a stroll, she was still wearing her sweater with the hood pulled into her face. Pushing through the streets, trying to avoid cameras and the authorities wasn't as easy as she had hoped as on a busy day like today there were many patrols out on the streets, but nevertheless she pushed on to a small launchpad on the edge of he city.

The masses of people thinned out the further she got away from the bustling streets near the center of town. It was only a person or two here and there, mostly workers in the streets or citizens from the edge of town heading to the City. Standing at the gates of the Launchpad Facility, she decided to walk straight in through the front gate before cutting between two of the buildings to sneak around to the hangars. It would seem that she couldn't get into the Eagle standing in one of the Hangars as easily as she hoped, standing in the back door and observing two mechanics working on it. It'd have to either be persuading them with the threat of them ratting her out after she got the vessel, or incapacitating them before they can even see her coming. She wouldn't be able to handle the authorities chasing her alone, so really only one option remained.

Grabbing a metal pipe leaning against a pile of boxes near her, she wielded it like a sword before beginning to sneak up on the mechanics. It looked like they were just finishing up whatever they were doing, giving the perfect opportunity to strike, she lunged out of her cover and connected the metal pipe the the back of one of the two men, sending him flying to the ground before she turned and pulled the pipe upwards, under the jaw of the second, sending him into a backwards stardle and fall. This was the time she needed, dropping the pipe on the floor, she made a dash for the cockpit, throwing her bag inside before jumping into it herself. She'd flown Eagles before, allowing her to quickly power up the vessel before the communicator came alive with chatter. The Launchpad Tower was asking who was in the vessel and what their intentions were, stating that it was an unauthorized powerup. Ignoring any and all chatter, Sara lifted the vessel off the ground and began to maneuver it out of the Hangar before finally ignoring all protocol, pulling up and gunning it toward the upper atmospheres.

Her escape however hadn't gone unreported as the Tower called up local Police to the unauthorized Launch. As she hit the Tradelane to Freiburg she was already being chased by one vessel. It didn't take her long to traverse the Tradelane and swoosh right by Freiburg heading to Ulm, and the Gate to Omega-7. Though to add to her problems, the Border Station wasn't going to let her pass so easily. With the Police in her neck and the Border Station infront of her, it seemed the escape would need a slight miracle to pull off.

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Keller - 01-19-2019

"God moves in a mysterious way. His wonders to perform, He plants His footsteps in the sea and rides upon the storm."

Even despite the staunch atheism both the Red Baron and its pilot upheld, they could not be free from the strings of fate. No matter how dark and deep the shadow, all things were still given purpose by the candle of creation, for no shadow could be free from its destiny to be a product of the light. A red streak would scream past Sara's eagle, it sounded horrifying, the border-station's turrets would not keep up and it was hardly something the police pilot was prepared for, let alone trained to handle. As the streak slowed to combat speed and began hasty engagement of the police-craft, the pilot would scream into the open communication radio-waves, haplessly trying to evade as both Dragunov and Kalashnikov tore into his ship and then ripped him out of it, the escape pod gruesomely cut in half by the razor-sharp wings of the crimson Odin that had just emerged through the jump-gate.

"Follow me." Would be the only prompt this pilot would give Sara, the red hammer and sword on its tail-fin gleaming as the ship threw itself in reverse and sped towards the gate.

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Havok - 01-19-2019

The situation had seemed hopeless, she was trapped between a rock and a hard place, that was until the scream of the red streaks flew past her, the screams of the Pilot in the vessel behind her echoed through the communications channels as she was taken aback, surprised be the goings on. Was this the miracle she had hoped for? As quickly as the vessel had appeared and already took out the Police Ship, it hat turned around and was already on it's way back to the gate. She didn't hesitate to think who it could be, she simply hit the thrusters and impulse and followed toward the gate, not even taking a second to answer the stranger, but to simply escape into Omega-7

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Keller - 01-19-2019

By the time the border-station could scramble more interceptors, the duo had already made quite a bit of head-way into the thick amber soup that was the Walker cloud. Either the person leading Sara was very bold, or knew what he was doing since getting lost here would be exceptionally easy, especially with the lack of any reference as to ones direction or heading.

A green glimmer could be seen not so far behind once both the Eagle and the Baron were nearing what must have been a jump-hole, but the impromptu savior wasn't concerned by this whatsoever nor did the interceptor's attempts at ordering them to stop make any difference. "Stick the nose of your ship to my exhaust trail. Do not deviate from the path I take."

Came yet another prompt, without any further notice the Odin would bank right very hard, Sara's Eagle managing to keep pace as they began to traverse a particularly lethal explosive gas pocket. A mistake here would mean death. It would be a torturous ordeal, having to constantly whip ones ship in various directions, but eventually the path would be less obvious and it was at this point that the craft pursuing them would bank right instead of left, in an attempt to cut them off before exiting the pocket. What the pilot had not considered was what was now immediately in front of him, a wall of explosive gas.

The green glimmer that was once pursuing them faded in a bright jade "pop" and the duo were now free to pull out of the hazard and make a direct course for the Omega-5 jump-hole.

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Havok - 01-19-2019

Sara was having some problems keeping on the tail of the ship that had just saved her from the Police, while she was still managing to stay behind the person moving towards the Walker Cloud, she was confused as to where they were heading but she was certain that whoever that pilot was knew what they were doing and where they were going.

"I can basically smell the exhaust fumes." She replied to the prompt that came from the pilot ahead, and she soon figured out why he gave the prompt as they entered a field of explosive gas. While they were managing to avoid the pockets of lethal gas, their persuers did not fare as successfully, ending in bursts somewhere behind them.

As they pulled clear of the Cloud and into more open space, the Vessel infront seemed to have a set course and wasn't deviating from it, Sara took the opportunity of initiating contact.

"Thank you, for that back there." She said, her voice was calm, almost as if nothing had happened, but in truth she was still somewhat shocked and terrified, but joyful and relieved to be out of there at the same time. "Who are you?."

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Keller - 01-19-2019

He hadn't expected idle chatter, nor was talking to women and portraying a heroic image a forte of his. Nevertheless he owed her some answers, especially with how sudden his intervention was. "I suppose you're welcome. As for who I am, I'm Lukas Keller. A wanted 'terrorist' as far as Rheinland is concerned. I think I heard about you in the news.. I didn't actually expect that I'd run into you."

He recalled the news article clearly now, how ironic that coincidence had allowed him to interpose and keep her out of the Federal Republic's custody. He hadn't planned for any of this, so perhaps consulting with her would be the best option. "I assume you had a plan about what to do after escaping?"

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Havok - 01-19-2019

Keller. She had heard that name before but she wasn't really able to put it in place right now. None the less she was glad he had showed up. She couldn't help but chuckle then.

"I've already made the news now have I? I've not kept up on it for the past three days on the run." She continued to steer her vessel alongside his on the plotted course he was taking, following Lukas to wherever he was going.

"Well my intial plan was to go to the Omegas, then to find shelter and get a better ship. From then on out it would've been Improv. They did not agree with my views or those of a few of my comrades on my old Ship. They shot some of them, others escaped. I've not heard from any of them since I left."

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Keller - 01-20-2019

She was a fugitive, a stigma he was all too familiar with. Quietly he would wait for her to finish talking before deciding whether or not to say anything else. There was definitely some degree of ideological overlap at play here and he was sure that with enough assurances and favors such as the one he just gave her, that she would most likely willingly change sides. "The ruling status quo rarely accommodate views that might threaten their own. People like you and me are dangerous, we're a risk to someone's power-games."

They would pass through the jump-hole now, sending them straight to Omega-5, one of the first things Sara would see here would be a joint patrol of Hessians and Coalition fighters, since she was formed up with Keller and clearly accompanying him the patrol would just leave her alone and not get in the way. "Ronneburg is not far from here, it's a Hessian outpost dedicated to fighting back the Corsairs. But you do have the option of coming with me, New Moscow is one jump away. After-all, I'm sure that with you and I being more or less cut from the same cloth, that we'd have much to talk about."

It was her choice now and Keller would not try to guide her decision any further.

RE: Daughter of the Revolution - Havok - 01-20-2019

Sara had listened to him attentively before they passed through the Jumphole into Omega-5. His words, along with what she saw here started to build a clearer Picture. She started to remember where she had heard the name before. It was all slowly coming together.

"They'd rather shoot their own people than risk a deviation from the current path." She spoke sternly, disgusted by what happened on the Skadi to her friends. Sara's gaze wandered around the system, joint patrols of Hessians and the Coalition. She knew where she was now and for her there was only one choice to make. She couldn't go back without facing imprisonment or worse death.

"I think we've much to talk about indeed, Lukas. I shall join you and perhaps we can figure things out from there." The decision she made came from instinct. She'd have better chances if she were to accompany him rather than be stranded on a Hessian Base, still having her Rheinlandic Gear.
