Respective representatives of the recipients. I'm Squadron Commander Damian Morretti of the Xeno Alliance. In short, I act as the Xeno Alliance's leader when it comes to coordinated actions in space and planet-side. With my affiliations answered for and out of the way, let me get to the point of why this communication is even being sent to you.

It's come to my attention that at one point the Alliance enjoyed a cordial relation with the Corsairs, and that a trade deal was in fact in effect. I believe our contacts in the artifact market are still eager to do business with us, but it's been a while since we've undertaken any shipments to and from the Empire. What we intend to do is reignite some degree of cooperation between our groups once more. I'm unaware of what the previous terms of our dealings were, but perhaps a renewal is in order.

A long time has passed, and your diplomatic landscapes in Liberty may have very well changed, but I believe it's unlikely that anyone else, whether they be Rogue, Hacker or Junker would give you the same level of respect. I'm assuming that given the nature of the Rogues and their Maltese brethren, that your only choice for sourcing your goods now is the Junkers, whom are likely too stuck under the thumbs of their Liberty-bound brethren to actually show you too much courtesy.

If the Corsairs are still interested in the relationship we once shared, then I suppose we'll hear back from you. Who knows, work with us might turn out well enough that you might not require any other regional partners, given that we could cover you not just in Liberty, but also along the borders. But I'll be patient regarding the arrival of your answer, I'm sure a proposition like this requires due consideration.

""Until then""

Kyrie Moretti,

I will be honest, a message from the Xeno Alliance did catch me by surprise. As I understand, your organisation is not particularly fond of foreign convoys in Liberty, which makes it even less expected.

Now, you speak of respect but frankly it is difficult for me to imagine a place where respect matters less than in Liberty. Indeed, Corsairs have little interest in your Republic beyond its underworld market and the exchange rate it provides between our Artifacts and your credits. For that reason we maintain ties with several criminal organisations in Liberty, but speaking of any long-term commitments would be an overstatement.

The bottom line is that the only thing we seek in Liberty is commerce. If you can offer it on more favourable prices for Artifacts than Rogues and better quality military grade salvage than Harmony or Junkers then we are willing to listen. If you cannot, then we hope that at least you will not stand in our way.

Yours sincerely,
Δία Αυγουστοπούλου
Dia Augustopolou
General of the Custodi

Saludos Senor Moretti,

As my hermana before me has said, the Artifact Trade is open to you if you think you can do better than the Junkers and other such smugglers that currently indulge in our artifacts. We have no political interest in Liberty, being so far away from our home on the edge of Sirius, yet its commerce is. Ageira's Light Arms, the high-quality radiation pharmaceuticals from Denver, long-life food rations, various fertilizers, Premium Scrap and Military Salvage are all welcome imports in Gamma. And of course, in return, our most prized artifacts and xeno relics to bring back to your home.

Now, I cannot speak much on our previous relations, being before my time in The Brotherhood, but as with many things, we do remember our past cooperation, and if such a trade deal helps you oust the cardamine-dependents off their thrones in the Libertonian underworld, well I think we'd both lead happier lives, don't you?

Respetuosamente,

Right, I suppose I'll start with General Augustopolou since she was first. General, I'd like to disagree about one small thing. Respect is a cornerstone of a good relationship, regardless of whether it be between individuals or between organizations such as ours.

A lack of respect is what's driven both of us to become what we are. In our case the very House we trusted to Govern us sold out the lives we had in favor of a better profit-margin. In Crete's it was your former brethren turning their backs on you, but it is the very same adversity that's made us resilient in the face of opposition.

You're correct, the Xeno movement as a whole has a lot of hate for the sight of foreign transports, their arrival in Liberty marked the end of many, many livelihoods. However, this isn't to say that we are ignorant of a good business sense. We would have nothing against the sight of Corsair transports in Liberty, all we'd want is for them to be working with us. And many of us, including myself are educated people, despite what you'd otherwise be led to believe by the media.

Coming back to the topic of discussion, more specifically about artifacts. I got in touch with my compatriots on Milford and they seem to remember doing good business with the Corsairs quite some time ago. For each unit of artifacts delivered, they could produce an income of 5,845 credits and I'm fairly confident that's a good number.

We'd be willing to give your transports free passage to and from our stations for the purpose of trade and would even be willing to provide escort to ensure secure delivery. All I'd ask for in return is exclusivity as your partner in Liberty for artifact-trade and the ability to obtain loads from Crete in exchange for the supplies we'd.. "liberate" from opportunists such as Synth Foods and Planetform inc.

Odds are, if there's something you need it's bound to pass through Liberty, and when it does, we'll make sure it winds up in our hands. And then subsequently, put to use in your lands. Forgive the rhyme, I couldn't help myself. Regarding your dealings with Harmony and the Junkers for scrap and salvage, I understand. And just like I said before, I'll respect your need to acquire resources. We won't interfere with your operations, but I can't say the same for the Junkers. Perhaps we can revisit this particular bit of the discussion when the Alliance can compete with them.

At the end of the day, the Rogues will suckle up to the bosom of their Maltese puppet-masters, it's just the way the cookie crumbles. Making us your sole partner for artifact trade in the region would be a very prudent fiscal decision. After-all, it would mean more money and with securities. If you see our vendors offering something you like on any of our stations, feel free to ship it back to your people, we'd only take a small cut for our efforts in acquiring the goods, such as unscrupulously sourced light-arms for example.

I've covered every point of importance. Now it's up to your discretion on where we take this agreement. Going to give me some good news so that I can crack open a bottle of the good stuff with the boys on Milford? Or am I going to have to be the bearer of bad news, telling them they won't be seeing any familiar faces?

""I hope for the former""

Saludos Senor Moretti,

I do appreciate your eagerness to be once again involved in the Artifact trade, senor, but I do think you are underestimating the sheer volume of Artifacts we ship from Crete on a daily basis. To simply stop this trade with our current partners and other unaffiliated smugglers would likely sever the lifeblood of Crete, leaving hundreds of thousands to starve. So no, I cannot grant you such exclusive rights to the Artifact Trade, not yet. But that's not to say we cant have Artifacts, and plenty of them, put aside for your transports. There are many warehouses on Crete just for the handling and export of Artifacts, and incoming goods, that setting a few aside for you will be no trouble. Perhaps in time, once you have claimed more of the Libertonian underworld for yourselves, and have shown us that you can be entrusted with the lifeblood of our home, we can see about granting such a majority access, out of the hands of Maltese-pawns.

Now, I do believe I gave you a good indication of what goods we would be most appreciative of, but just about anything can be put to good use, or at the least sold to some nearby Zoner Freeport, so come with whatever you can get, and I think we both know that we don't have any qualms about how exactly it was acquired. So, will we be seeing any of your transports shortly amigo?

Mister Vasquez I think there's been a misunderstanding. I'm perfectly aware that cutting ties with your independent smugglers would be economic suicide for Crete's populace and I'm not asking you to do that.

I'm asking you to forget about delivering artifacts to the rogues and junkers. Deliver it to us exclusively, your independent contacts could benefit from this arrangement as well unless they feel ballsy enough to deliver directly to Manhattan.

By becoming your exclusive partner in the region of Liberty, we'd ensure your product reaches the black-market and our contacts would make sure you get an ample share of the profits, a larger share than you'd otherwise receive delivering to the junkers, rogues or anyone else in the region really.

The flow would be the same, the only change would be the channels of distribution, and we would be your new best friends. To clarify once more, you'd simply stop delivering artifacts to our competitors, if they still want to run to Crete and pay you to be able to haul artifacts themselves then that's fine, we obviously won't stop that, nor could we.

However we will make it abundantly difficult for our enterprising competitors to reach their destination and honestly this wouldn't affect you because you'd have still been paid for your goods. But you can rest easy knowing that the freelancers dealing in your product will be left alone.

I think you'll find it's in both of our interests to not see friends of Malta profit from your property. You'd only be putting money into the wallet of your own worst adversary. Give us your trust, and we won't turn our back on you. It's not in the nature of a Xeno to scorn a comrade or a partner, after all, the few friends we have are all we've got and new ones would be exceptionally hard to come by.

Saludos Senor Moretti,

After much debate between the Elders, we have come to a decision. Amidst the rising tension with the Junkers Congress, and the shifting political landscape of Sirius, the Council has decided that a change could do us good, and as such, we'll be giving you a shot at being our exclusive trading partner in Liberty. While we don't make the whole trip to Liberty too often, any Brotherhood ship that do will have a course set for Milford Base. Should the trading go well, we'll see about making this a more permanent situation. Don't let us down, Commander- this could be the start of a new chapter for both of us.

Good to hear from you again Mister Vasquez, all the more so when you bring me good news like that. I'll be relaying orders regarding our arrangement to every ship flying Alliance colors. Your transports will receive our protection while in Liberty and any fool trying to get in the way is going to get bit.

You won't hear of any problems from our end, your goods won't be undercut and deals with us will always be fair and friendly, at least for as long as you hold up your end of the deal. This'll be a test not just for us in your eyes, but also on just how strong your word is and whether you'll give us the respect we've given and will be giving you. It would seem the snake and the bull are now in agreement.
