(04-15-2021, 12:17 AM)Tenshi Wrote: The line giving Law Enforcement the ability to attack factions considered hostile by their house does not mention 'within X House Space', it instead mentions ZoI which (roughly) is still the same. Therefore you very much can attack ships that belong to hostile organizations even outside 'the box'.

Except that Factions considered hostile is defined by laws, and they quite clearly can't enforce laws outside of the box. Is hostility no longer defined by law? If that is so, then some serious reforms to how the laws are written need to be done. If not, then since they can't enforce laws outside their box, and their laws define hostility, they cannot consider factions hostile outside their box.

Edit: or, to keep in line with the wording, they cannot define factions as hostile outside of their box.

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Mephistoles - 04-15-2021

You're misunderstanding how ID lines work.

For example, the Liberty Navy can shoot Xenos in Kepler, because the Xenos are hostile and in the LN zone of influence. This hostility is determined by story-controlled NPC faction diplomacy and does not rely on player roleplay laws.

What the LN ship can't do is confiscate cardamine from a Freelancer in Cortez. This is a different matter, and "ships hostile to" is not only defined by "can enforce laws".

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - The_Godslayer - 04-15-2021

So, LN would be entirely unable to stop Junkers enforcing a lockdown on all trade to and from Liberty?

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Nick Harrison - 04-15-2021

And would this not cause me issues with LPI- With the same thing? Seeing as LN can't do as much now and The same thing will happen with The Police as well yes we enforce in house but having access to doing so in border systems helped as well.

Let's not lump the corsair ID in with the outcast ID in terms of relative power. The outcast ID is much more powerful, in both system quantity, and system quality.

It must be great to be a developer today. You screw things up intentionally and admins get blamed instead. Top troll position.

Who did this?

RE: Admin Feedback Thread - Kauket - 04-22-2021

No one did. The system was changed. The coordinates of the pob persisted. It just simply has to move again, bad set of coincidence.
