Right, so Gunny went by my Room today and told me that A. I was taking over the Warspite project and B. That I should probably log it, so hi Logbook and whoever reads this (Hi Corin?) Anyway down to business. I've been getting the wiring done, let me tell you I stink right now. Problem with the wiring is that it takes a lot of manpower and any small break in the wires could cause a short-fuse. I'm reminded of a case I read once in University where someone was merely destratifying the hydrogen & oxygen tanks, it caused a spark and half the hull-plating blew off. What caused it? Bad wiring!
So yea, Wiring is very important. I've done most of the important decks, engineering was a bitch. But I've managed to wire up a basic intercom system so I can talk with the shipwright crews. Half the ship is still not done, it's kinda like working in a ghost ship right now. We have the rooms, but nothing in them. Today however we did managed to complete one of the major checkmarks, installing the water tanks and filling them up. Although I have a suspicion that one of the crews might have spiked it with some beer (Gunny?). I also find it funny that we got drinkable water, but we haven't installed plumbing so we got a lot of people in portable toilets.
The crew is kinda still adjusting to me, I've brought out my glasses and tablet to look professional. They didn't trust me at first but I think when I crawled around to find a broken conduit for four hours in the cold dark they grew to like me. Speaking of that, yea the ship is really cold and it's becoming a problem, we've got condescension on some of the control panels and we're worried it might cause a short in them. So next on the list is the AC and heating. AC especially as, just climbing down to the cargo rooms requires a oxygen mask for emergencies. No leaks so far however which honestly in my experience is a plus.
Anyway, I'm going to have a shower, eat some grub then get back to wiring up the middle decks.

They gave me a name, finally. The ship shall be called "Whirlwind", probably some Gaian meaning behind that name that I don't know about. I like the Gaians, heck I was kinda a hippy in my past but militant hippies? That's a new one. Anyway here's the deal with the ship currently, me and the crew have done 80% of the wiring. The other 20% is for the lower decks, I'm also happy to report that we got Life Support to 92% of the ship and finally got the AC working.
Now we had a segmentation problem with the navigation computer, problem is that it's a software glitch and not hardware which means something in how we coded the Navigation computer. I'm not much of a coder myself but got someone on it, besides that the Bridge is operational. We even installed a nice comfortable captain's chair with all the shiny buttons to control things on the fly. Communication has also been working fine, some background interference occasionally but that's every ship.
Test-Flight has been put on the cards, but I'm unsure about putting her into cruise just yet without double and triple checking all of the engines. I really don't want to blow up because someone forgot to pressurize the electrolysis chamber. When it is ready for a test flight I guess I'll be at the helm, or Gunny or heck maybe Corin will come along to see it. Speaking of test-flight. Although I don't exactly know what weapons they want, we are beginning to install your basic Unioner turrets as well as anything special that was requested. Weapon testing shall be done near Pacifica.
Honestly I could give the ship over now and build it at Gaian territory, but I doubt Gunny would let the guard borrow me for a few weeks for finalization. I'm too much of a important asset or something.
Looking at the timetable, should be done by... late March to early April.

So I banged my head of a manifold, it's not serious just required some stapling. I'm considering going on strike if it happens again and seeing what Corin would do in that situation, just kidding Corin (Do you read this?). Anyway been enjoying the food, we now have a mess-hall and a working kitchen mostly. Problem about building a kitchen for a bunch of hippies is that I have not idea what foodstuffs they want or where. I know they probably don't let exploitation of plant-life so unfortunately no coffee. I wonder what the heck Gaians use to keep awake.
Anyway, can confirm wiring done to 100% of the ship now. We are ready to test powering and seeing if anything shorts out which honestly is probable. Still I didn't install or inspect every inch of the wires to see it short out. We also have 90% oxygen efficiently with some areas around 50% that we are correcting with installing CO-2 scrubbers in the correct positions. I've been supervising these installations to make sure they are correct.
We also installed fire-supression systems, without water mind you. We just the pipes, water is still being delivered to us in small segments from smuggler ships. I atleast did manage to install portable showers in one of the Cargo bays. I also finished off the Bridge, weapon system are working, we did a small test on a few asteroids yesterday. Thruster engines are working, not overheating too much. Cruise engines, now we still want to make sure before going on a cruise maiden voyage but tomorrow we'll do it with a minimal crew. I have no idea how it will work with tradelanes or jumpgates yet.
Besides that, ship is, 80% done. It's good enough for inspection.

The Date is, March 2-, March-2-, What's the dam date-March 24th...has it only been that long. I couln't get any slep, I need to work. I've instaled what I can, working on hydropanics is a pain but it's more relaing then what happene yeserday. I still can't put my head around it, this trageddy that happen. I saw friends die, Frei dissapard, betrayed and I broke my wrist. I need to keep working, keep working. The Hessians will pay in good time. I've, done the hydro-I mentioned that didn't I?
I woke up in enginees, I guess the humming of the engines helped me sleep. I don't know what I did last night but the crooe engines are operatial, I think by the looks of it I was searchin for a bomb on the ship...I didn't remmber sleeping. Ship's nearly complete, gotta keep at it, ship's nearly compete. wveryone is relying on me, so much to do...gotta fix it, have to fix it, fix it.

It's done, everything is in operational order and cruise engines are working fully. This took some time to do, I had to take a brief break from all the drama of the Unioners right now. The crew worked diligently and I myself oversaw the cruise engine testing. It was a tricky thing to do, there was a small chance it would of exploded but that is the risk of the position. Now all that is needed is delivery to the Gaians. I will personally send them a communication and I will hand over this log as proof of competency. I only hope that we can have good news for once. Time to move onto working on Vierlande and other projects.
