Help please - torchwood - 02-25-2009 right now i am getting a game, and its requirements are..i dunno, but my computer aint exactly amazing so i wanna know somthin, will it run on it: Recommended requirements: CPU: 2.4 GHz Dual Core or better RAM: 1GB for XP and 2GB for Vista HD: 8GB Free Space GFX: 3.0 Shader Support, Nvidia Geforce 7800, ATI Radeon X1800 or better. Minimum requirements: CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, AMD Athlon 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better. RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista) HD: 8GB Free SPace GFX: NVIDIA Geforce 6600, ATI Radeon 9800Pro or better that is for the game chip?: Intel GMA 3000 processor: Intel Core2 CPU 6320@ 1.86 GHz total memory: 1016 MB ram that is all i could find for me so, will it work? Help please - swift - 02-25-2009 Yeah, probably will, if you run it on low. Help please - Ceoran - 02-25-2009 If it's about the money for buying it: do you have someone to lend the game from to test is before? The video card might be a problem. As well as might be using vista instead of xp. I think the system fits the minimum requirements, but I would never bank on them. (Developers sometimes tend to vary about the definition of "running". for example: vanilla freelancer on the minimum requirements and then pick up a mission against 8 enemies + backup for you = fail). Things like unnecessary data on your hard disk or just a slow disk are often ignored. Help please - torchwood - 02-25-2009 do i just make the requirments? and i use XP and if dodgy, i can get a graphics card easy. and if it helps its call of duty 4:Dfirst time trying it its not the space i am worryed about, its if it will run Help please - Ceoran - 02-25-2009 Since your CPU is not a dual core as far as I read, the video card would have to compensate that. And the Intel GMA cards work with shared memory, so they use some of your RAM to run. Since the GeForce 6600 has 128Mb that might be 128Mb RAM less, still enough to run the game, and still some left to compensate the CPU. Might work. A friend of mine has it and I'll go ask him if he ever tried to run it on an underequipped PC. The game might already abort while starting if it detects the hardware. Help please - torchwood - 02-25-2009 ok cheer's, i think it will work to be honest, thats probably half my details, the others are stored somewhere. Help please - teschy - 02-25-2009 My machine is crappier than yours, and I can still run CoD with a decent fps rate. Don't mind the detail settings, the gameplay itself will make you forget about them:P So yeah, go for it man. It's fun, the more you play, the more addictive it gets, because as you level up, you get better weapons, perks and all sorts of gadgets. ^^ Help please - torchwood - 02-25-2009 i accidently ordered the game of the year addition:D 4 extra maps |
