Roleplay Basis:
It's often said that the most most valuable goods in Sirius are water, fuel, food, and diamond. In a volatile Sirian economy, only the precious stone and metal market is stable enough to match the unpredictable interest rates of the Sirian economy. This is all the more true within the the house underworlds, where unmarked minerals are a choice substitute for traceable credit transfers.
Republican Shipping has more pragmatic interests. As the premier supplier of logistics and containerised shipping solutions since the Von Rohe's day uprising, Republican has long been searching to leverage its logistical advantage into other industries. To this end, the company has placed a large order of a mysterious cargo from planet California Minor; a cargo that is being protected by an unusually large contracted escort from the Liberty Police. Pirates are an imaginative bunch, and the rumour has spread around the Hudson rogues and the Pacifica Unioners that the cargo must be highly valuable - perhaps diamond, platinum, or even alien materials - worthy of running the risk to raid the convoy wholesale.
The reality, as reality tends to be, is much less interesting. The convoy is but a bulk-buy of current generation fertiliser for Republican's internal aquaculture program, and the extensive security detail simply there to avoid their corporate rivals scanning the transports. The transports are headed to Altona station, under heavy escort.

- Republican Shipping has contracted Liberty Police Incorporated Escorts to protect a shipment of Flora Gro, between California Minor and Altona Station, Hamburg.
- The Unioners and the Rogues, after an unscrupulous tip-off by a corporate competitor, believe that the shipment is carrying Diamonds. They have organised in-force to stop the convoy.
- The Unioners and the Rogues must find and engage the convoy before the Convoy passes into Hamburg.
- The Convoy must use the trade lanes and gate network.
- The Unioners and Rogues will attempt to pirate the convoy. The Convoy will resist piracy.
- Once the battle has begun, the transports are expected to participate in the battle.
- Uruzes are very powerful in group fights when hugged by escorts or when used as area-of-effect weapons due to their EMP flacks. For this reason, the unlawfuls get an extra gunboat to help prevent the Uruzes from rapidly draining the nanos of the unlawful VHFs. The law recieves an extra bomber slot to increase DPS against the gunboats.

Another day, another cargo of dead 'perps. The survivors are rounded up by the Federal police and held on homicide and piracy charges, carrying twenty five years to life of hard labour at LPI Sugarland; LPI's shareholders will quickly recoup the damages incurred as the Unioners and Rogues look forward to a life of breaking large chunks of toxic waste into smaller chunks, whilst the escorts who survived the raid look forward to a windfall of hazard pay.

Hornbrow Unity victory
The Unioners and the rogues split the loot between them after hours of haggling, brawling, and drinking, before promtly blaming one another that the cargo of supposed diamonds and jewels is nothing but chemical fertilizer. Regardless, both the Unioners and the Rogues celebrate the oppertunity to stick it to their respective corporate oppressors. The Unioners, knowing that that the crime was committed in Liberty territory, are confident that the case will never come to criminal court within Hamburg itself. The Age-old alliance between the Rogues and the Unioners is alive and well; both factions are likely to try to increase their mutual support in the independent worlds within the coming months. The attack attracts media hysteria; rallying disaffected Rheinlanders and Rogues alike to begin a life of lucrative crime. In irony, much of the FloraGro finds its way circuitously into the hands of Republican Shipping once again, as the Rogues and Unioners sell the remaining chemicals off to graymarket middle-men. Some of the FloraGro finds its way into the hands of underworld bomb makers, and is chemically decomposed to create improvised explosives.
The loss of the FloraGro shipment forces Republican to expend shareholder confidence on additional escorts and security payouts to secure a steady supply of fertiliser for the company's agricultural projects.
