Canal 3 Malta: All Fresh News

PRIME NEWS: Assorted Stories

Buenos dias, señores y señoritas. This is Marco Allegri and you watching Prime News on Canal 3 Malta.

Today we are presenting a summary of recent events. The programme will last longer than usual and provide analysis for the events in question. Remember, that our viewers are always encouraged to participate in the discussion, to lay out questions to the studio, and comment the news online. The best commentators will be invited to “Punto de vista” show to give interview and win some prizes from Canal 3.

On today’s agenda:
  1. A smashing strike against the IMG in Murcia system (ex-Tau 37)
  2. Unresting zoners
  3. Agreement with the Core: towards more secure Omicrons
  4. The end of Gallic war: post-war analysis

1. Strike against the IMG in Murcia

The news coming with delay, it is still not less important. Two weeks ago, Maltese Hispania’s forces inflicted a grave strike against the assets of the Independent Miners Guild in Murcia system, destroying one of the core facilities of the Guild indispensable for the mining operations thereof in the region. Fort Silosso, as it was called, apparently was not “fortified” well enough to be a fort to the forces of Malta. In a valiant attempt to reduce the influence and commercial gains of the IMG in the region, numerous ships led by famous battlegroup “Inquisition” breached the defence grids of the station while dispersing local resistance of the IMG and their accomplices. The destruction of the facility leaves Falkland station prone to further assaults by the forces of Maltese Hispania and lays foundation for bringing Murcia system under the control of Malta.

As we were informed, the assault was carried out at the initiative of adelantados not affiliated with the central government of the Unitary Republic. The onslaught was commenced as the negotiations with Gallia and IMG as the accomplice of the former were under way, thus complicating possibility of achieving consensus with the IMG. Doctor Dr. Patricia Nuñes, Ph.D., Professor or Politology of Universidad de Nueva Salamanca, commented the situation for us:

While seemingly a token of inability the central government to control its own forces and strong feudal-like autonomy of Malta, the situation is more complicated in reality. The lack of comments on behest of the Senate and Consul Escudero who was participating in the negotiations in particular can indicate that the government either closed their eyes on the developments or, which is more likely in my opinion, did not take any actions to silently approve the move. All Hispania wins greatly from the removal of that facility, I do not think the government would be against it. Moreover, such a move would definitely raise public support here on Malta which is crucial for domestic politics of the recently proclaimed Unitary Republic, and a proof of its efficiency and ambitions. In addition, it was a message to the leaders of la Nacion that the nobles and other stakeholders do not favour negotiations with the IMG.

The fall of Silosso opens way to establishing firmer control over Murcia system which serves as a gateway into the core worlds of Malta and the first node in “Orange arteria” into Liberty and Kusari. The system also has the strategic value in linking Cali base in Tau 23 to the core systems and is a buffer for protection against possible incursions in Leon.

The participants of the assault, as we were informed, were recognised as heroes by the Council of Tribunes with the silent approval of the Senate. The parade for the victors will be held in Ravenna-de-Malta tomorrow. All of the participants were awarded with an honourary titles “the rock breakers” to commemorate their better skills at demolishing rocks than the miners of the IMG, and given the Medals for Courage “of acting independently for the Glory of Maltese Hispania”. The leaders of the assault were also awarded with the Medal of Triple Virtues, one of the highest awards on Malta. Some of the participants were elevated into the ranks of the nobility. The list of the leaders will be sown below, although the names of some captains are not disclosed. For the full list of participants and those who gave their lives away in the attack can be accessed interactively in the notes to this news report. There please find the number of accounts of the widows of the fallen for financial support.

Worrisome developments were unraveling during the assault. Forces of Maltese Hispania reported numerous cases of the IMG working alongside the Gallic Enclave, the remnants of the Kingdom of Gallia (more detailed explanation of the situation in Gallia will be provided later on) which are considered terrorists for the massacre of Leeds by most of Sirius, as well as vessels of Kusari Navy and Bounty Hunters. While Bounty Hunters work for anything that pays, the sights of Kusari working alongside the IMG and their Gallic superiors is a sign to other parties on readiness of the House of Kusari to work with terrorists guilty of taking billions of innocent lives.

2. Unresting zoners

As the onslaught on fort Silosso was raging on, another drama in Tau 37 was unveiling. Zoners of a paramilitary organisation “Velvet” originating from Freeport 11, Omicron Delta, came to moot point with the “Cuatroce” corporation over a feud regarding the no fire zone of the aforementioned Freeport 11. From our reports, a “Cuatroce” civilian pilot Alexander Barnes was refilling on Freeport 11, he was engaged by a Bounty Hunter. Recalling the NFZ provision around Freeports, Senor Barnes seek refugee at Freeport 11 but was forcefully ordered to evict the NFZ at the mercy of the Bounty Hunter by a zoner enforcer. Later on, zoners requested a fine to be paid by “Cuatroce” corporation for violation of the NFZ and assumingly “bringing conflict to the doorsteps of Freeport 11 and endangering its inhabitants”. Such claim was rebuked by Cuatroce leadership, that also declared zoners of “Velvet” non grata in Maltese space, including Murcia system wherein Freeport 10 is located. This caused a fallout between the organisations that almost sparked an armed conflict. The feud was settled with the assistance of an independent zoner mediator of now dissolved IRG with both parties agreeing on refraining from the use of Freeport 10, and “Velvet” zoners being forbidden from Murcia system.

As the incident became known to public a wave of outroar followed, yet again bringing the topic of the role of zoners in the affairs of Sirius. The excepts from the social media can be seen below:

@MalmaXD
So now escapist zoners who run from their homes to be “independent of domestic laws and politics” actually try to meddle into the laws and politics themselves. This hypocrisy is truly amusing. (1506 likes, 281 repost)

@MadDoc
Zoners trying to enforce something? Jaja. Jajaja. That was a nice joke. Why do I even pay for the streaming services to watch Bretonian comedies if there is a better offer, and for free. Mah dudes, do not miss the opportunity to laugh your ass out. (6792 likes, 1339 reposts)

@Martha.C789
Zoners of Freeport 10 should be grateful that we haven’t obliterated them in the previous decades despite having all the capacity to. If they truly want to stay independent, they should lie low and do nothing for that is what small animals do to hide from predators, if not running. (1860 likes, 282 reposts)

@MyGrandpaWasLibertyCatAdmiral
Senores y Senoritas! To your attention we solemnly present one of the most elegant delicacies in Sirius – zoner tears. The drink is known to connoisseurs for its revitalising properties: a single drink of those can cure depression, asthma, ass cancer, side effects of being involuntary raised from the dead, and religion due to the sheer amount of ridiculous drama in its content that can make laugh even a creature with no mouth. Make haste, dear gourmets, as Zoner Tears ™ come in limited supply only in times when someone cares about zoners, which is never. (17862 likes, 5444 reposts)

We asked Senor Sid Sanchez, Ph.D. in international relations, professor and postdoc fellow at la Universidad de Nueva Coruna, to comment the situation for our viewers:

When we analyse interstellar politics in Sirius, we rarely if ever take into consideration zoners. It is not due to disregard or what people might think, but rather due to their insignificance in the greater politics. Let us quickly recall the origins of zoners and what they stand for. They are originally fugitives that for some reasons abandoned the life in colonies and ventured for the frontier, the “Zone” (meaning the borders, fringes, “on the zone”) that eventually gave them their name. They fled due to different reasons: hiding from justice, inability to make living under the existing systems, being in political opposition or believing in ideals of independent existence by self-supplying on the outskirts of Sirius. Similarly to the reasons to leave, their background were quite different as well, from talented scientists to political dissidents, from low thugs to high-born upper class. For this very reason, their fracturedness, zoners lack any organisation in principle: they are a bunch of people who decided to live together in certain bases to be independent from the Houses. However, zoners of different freeports are also different from each other. There is no zoner state – this is what they were running from initially, and there cannot be in principle. There is no zoner army – only sporadic self-defence forces. There is no zoner economy – only some profits by separate zoner traders who have no affiliation to the zoner community on the whole. There are studies in anthropology on zoner identity. I must tell you, there is none. Those are just people who want to be left alone.

Taking this into consideration, zoners are never in position to participate in political developments on par with even minor factions. They lack the professional army, the warfleet, the economy capable of supporting them during conflict, and most important – unity. They are scattered all across Sirius and cannot effectively assist each other, neither it means they actually want to – for if one zoner faction gets into a conflict, other zoners have to think whether assisting them will not be against their declared neutrality per se. Besides, zoners and their installations usually bear no strategic importance to the parties. Exception was planet Gran Canaria because it is a whole damned planet, and if you ask me, zoners neither have capacity nor deserve to have such a big asset given their miniscule population. Bretonia did a calculated and predictable move when annexing Gran Canaria, similar to how Liberty annexed planet Erie. If not Bretonia, than Cretan savages or communists would have annexed the planet, disregarding zoner population in the same way as Bretonians did. Except for they would not have been so kind, zoner population either sent to GULAGs or for what worse – eaten. If any conflict sparks – zoners, of course, can try to resist – they can even win a few small skirmishes or succeed in guerrilla war at first. But war is won with credits, and their “economy” (or should I say lack thereof) would be a deciding factor in their inevitable demise. Unlike the GMG who blew up Rheinland forces in gas pockets in Sigmas, zoners have neither the advantage of space anomalies, nor strong profits that the GMG enjoyed due to huge monopolised fuel market of Kusari and the support of a whole House, nor sheer numbers.

Hence, the conflict between “Velvet” and “Cuatroce” is unlikely due to zoners lack of capacity to wage a long war which will be required – Malta will not stand aside when one of its biggest Cardamine exporters is attacked. Besides, we now have a corporatocracy of a sort, “Cuatroce” having strong ties in the government. The conflict with the zoners, though, is possible if they oppose our advances in Murcia system. Do not let this confuse you, though: under zoners I do not mean all of zoners. As we discussed before, they are very fractured and will not stand as a whole. I know of some of them trading under our jurisdiction in Murcia system. Some zoners even spread Cardamine. So they are not our enemies per se even if the conflict sparks.

While things remain clam at the moment, our viewers are kindly asked to refrain from unnecessary interactions with the zoners of “Velvet” affiliation and to stay clear of Freeport 11 that is known to be under their administration.

3. Agreement with the Core: towards more secure Omicrons

As our informants with the Senate notify, on the 29th of September an Agreement of Friendship and Understanding was signed with the Core. The organisation that is also known to be building a state of “Imperium Omicronis” is an important stakeholder in Lower Omicrons and serves an important role of a shield in Omicron Delta against the aliens. Born out of the Bunty Hunters Guild, the Core has made impressive and rapid steps at securing its position as a primary law enforcer in systems such as Omicron Delta, Omicron Minor, Omicron Rho, Omega 55, and Sigma 15, as well as in other systems of the region.

The agreement signed, the Core recognises Maltese Hispania’s legitimacy and succession to the House of Hispania. The parties agreed to establish more cordial relations, recognise each other’s borders, refrain from interference into domestic politics, and other forms of cooperation. The agreement is to ensure the security of the citizens of both parties in the volatile region of Omicrons. The full text of the agreement can be accessed in the notes to this programme presented below.

We asked an expert on economics Leonardo Spazza, PhD, of the National Institute for Trade and Economics of his opinion of the deal:

The agreement, albeit it basic in form, provides important ramifications for Maltese Hispania. Firstly, we gain more recognition which is important given the mission our leadership sets ahead of itself. Secondly, we now have a normalisation of borders with a prominent Omicron faction, allowing us to forget about that front and concentrate our efforts elsewhere. It also opens up possibilities to strike the Order that has been playing politics instead of actually doing their job of fighting aliens for too long. Thirdly and finally, it creates more doors for our traders, thus strengthening the economy of Malta. Iridium ore is not of utmost priority but certainly can benefit us in ship manufacturing and in secondary market distribution. There is also evidence of some gas of exotic properties extracted in Delta that the Core is familiar with. So we have access to those goods more freely now. It is reciprocal for the Imperium Omicronis, of course: the access to now controlled by Maltese Hispania rich Niobium deposits in Tau 23, access to Xenorelics, Titanium from Albegna and Uranium from Terre, and of course – Cardamine. So the agreement although not specific in economic terms still alleviates the business conduct in Omicrons, livening up the local economy for the benefits of the both parties. Credits flow, Malta gets stronger. The viewers of your programme, Marco, can also expect the increase of goods flow from Liberty as the Core legally procures a lot of goods there, some of which might end up on Malta as re-sold.
The agreement with the Core which is effective since the moment of its signature is thus to the benefit of Maltese Hispania and provides better stability that the region has not seen since the moments of initial colonisation.

4. The end of Gallic war: post-war analysis

What might come as a surprise to many of us, is now a reality: the Kingdom of Gallia is no more and the war between the Gallic occupants and the Kingdom of Bretonia is over, say Gallic News Services.

The war raged for over seven years and took billions of lives. The casualties skyrocketed in the last months of war when in a dramatic twist of events the Gallic forces breached into New London system and were stopped by valiant defenders, including by famous battlegroup “Inquisition”. In what appears to be a psychotic move of a losing monarch, the Gauls commenced orbital bombardment of planet Leeds resulting in devastating consequences for the environment and inhabitants of the world. Despite attempts of seemingly all Sirius to save as many people of Leeds as possible, billions were left behind, marking the biggest tragedy of post-Sol era.

In the meantime, the forces of Gallic republicans, the counsillards, succeeded at breaching to New Paris. In absence of the king who was allegedly shot down by the Maquis, Gallia fell apart, forming a few splinter states. One of them, the Duchy of Burgundy that rallied the support of Gallic nobility, assumed the succession of the Kingdom and ordered the remaining royalist forces in Gallia to surrender, effectively ending the war.

Now, the Gallia is divided into a newly formed Duchy of Burgundy that lays claims on systems of Burgundy and Lorraine, the Minarchy of Provence under the rule of Unione Course clans, free systems of Languedoc and Dauphine, and the Gallic Republic formed of ex-Council citizens standing tall in Champagne, Picardy, and Orleanais. Kingdom’s ex-capital of Il-de-France is now an independent system that has refused to take sides.

Amidst the chaos, the remaining royal loyalists made a breech into Orkney and Edinburgh systems where they founded an “Enclave” – a quasi-state adhering to the ideals of the tyrannical Kingdom. Planet Gaia fell to the mercy of the invaders who situated their capital on the pristine world, angering the Gaians who had no capacity to oppose Gallic armada.

Neither the Senate nor the Council of Tribunes have notified of a peace treaty with the Gauls. Bretonian media are similarly silent, indicating that either no agreement has been reached yet or that information about such an agreement has not been disclosed to the public. The clashes with the Enclave forces in Murcia system as well as sights of Bretonians still fighting King Charles’ loyalists lead to a conclusion that the war with the Enclave is likely to continue on. Luckily, as analysts point out, the Enclave is but a shadow of Gallic former glory, having no economy to exist on, no civilian population to support their efforts, no infrastructure on Gaia that has been purposefully ignored for centuries, and diplomatic isolation.

For the comment on the situation we asked Su nobleza Augusto Escudero, adelantado of “Cuatroce” paramilitary forces and the scion of Escudero familia:

The end of the war is certainly a relief not only for the people of Malta but for billions souls all around Sirius. The ruin the Gauls brought to many parts of the sector will serve a reminder for us for decades to avoid conflicts of such a large scale. The end of war brings a lot of important ramifications to consider as we are entering the post-war era.
Firstly, it is Gallia itself. While it is now fractured into many pieces, one has to remember that Gallia is still a powerhouse, united by one heritage that has developed in isolation from the rest of Sirius over centuries. It certainly unites all the Gauls should an external threat hit them. Gallia also exited the war more or less bloodlessly, preserving a significant part of the Royal fleet and also having a sizeable Councillar fleet in reserve that, albeit older in design, is still capable of a punch as the Council showed in fighting the royalists. Having this in mind, no party can possibly dictate Gallia any conditions unless ready to wage a bloody invasion into Gallia that most certainly will lead to a failure given that Gauls are united against the invaders.

The weakest part of Gallia right now is its economy – as the state split, the production cycles shattered. Now many ex-partners are located in territories under the jurisdiction of different states. So now they are likely to deal with the matters of double taxation, quotas, border corruption, et cetera. Each splinter state is also to regulate its monetary policy with new central banks and, possibly, currencies. The sector of finances and stock exchanges, probably, suffer the most as such instability as the Gauls are seeing now is quite detrimental to the prices of derivatives. I presume, there will be a rise of shadow economy that can strengthen the position of such quasi-legal entities as Unione Course. However, the later are known to be affiliated with the Minarchy of Provence, hence the new local elite of other splinter states can be quite suspicious of them.

In such conditions, Gallia should seek foreign trade and as fast as possible. Splinter states will be rivaling each other in terms of quality of life to attract the most important resource – the citizens. Foreign trade creates a lot of jobs and causes and influx of currency, especially if a country can have something to export. A huge rivalry will be for the corporations left, HQ of which will mean a status and prestige for the state capable of attracting them. It can be a good time for Maltese Hispania to establish trade with some of the Gallic states, given that we have something they are interested in, or if we are interested and ready to pay for something they can provide.

The most important state for Malta is Duchy of Burgundy, as it now directly borders us with Lorraine system. Most likely, the Gauls are still suspicious of us due to the conflict and Cardamine, however development of relations is possible, mostly for the sake of trade. Council remains equally important as it is now arguably the strongest faction in Gallia. Adherent to democratic principles, the Council is unlikely to actively seek hostilities against us unless we provoke them. Trade would be difficult due to distance, so we should focus our efforts on the imminent neighbours.

Enclave remains a pain for all the combatants of the war. Maltese Hispania will continue fighting them to respect our alliance with Bretonia. Yet, the conflict will not be as active as it used to due to remoteness of Enclave facilities from us. All in all, the demise of the Enclave is imminent – they have no population and economy basis to support their fleet for long. Their fleet is strong still but its falling into decay is also a question of time with no known shipyards and large maintenance facilities. Besides, the other parties will be wearing them down too. I assume, there will be a lot of deserters – not all want to fight for allegedly dead king when their families are left to the fate in Gallic new states.

So, as you can see, the post-war era brings new opportunities but also challenges.

Secondly, it is Bretonia. Devastated by war, Bretonia will be rebuilding for decades and looking favourably at factions ready to assist Bretonians in this monumental task. For Malta it is a reputational and commercial opportunity. It is a moment when we can build truly good and lasting relations with one of the Houses, for the first time since we were left stranded on Malta after the crash of “Hispania”. We cannot lose this opportunity. As for commerce – strong Hispanic capital will flow in Bretonia, making our ties more intertwined and benefitting for each other. In such conditions, we are likely to solidify the trust between our nations, despite our hostile past. I encourage entrepreneurs of Maltese Hispania to invest in Bretonia and expand their market there – there is quite an opportunity to build a fortune. As for the Cardamine in Bretonia – the topic is tricky and we would not push it to jeopardise our relations. However, interest in Bretoniam market is probably to motivate us to seek a deal that is acceptable to both parties.

The end of war certainly will make the “orange arteria” safer for traders, increasing the revenues from Cardamine and opening up possibilities for mining in upper Taus. However, we warn the citizens that upper Taus still remain dangerous due to the IMG and Enclave forces so do not visit them for recreational purposes.

PRIME NEWS: True Face of the Revolution: Maltese Renegades (MR)

Buenos dias, señores y señoritas. This is Marco Allegri and you watching Prime News on Canal 3 Malta.

As the fires of the long and bloody conflict with the ex-Kingdom of Gallia are finally being put out, millions of people all around Sirius are expecting a hard yet stable period of recovery to start. The citizens of the Maltese Hispania are no exception, and are looking with hope at more secure corridor through Taus with Bretonia and Crayter Republic not being hostile to commence unprecedented amount of trade with various goods going both sides. Not everyone, however, wants Malta to flourish. And we are talking not about our traditional rivals on Crete or Manhattan, but about domestic traitors. Just recently the terrorist of MOA have been exterminated for chaos and destruction they sowed. Now, it seems, they have found a fitting successor – the so called “Republic of Malta”.

The paradox of factions opposing the legitimacy of current Maltese government might be puzzling for the viewers. Back since the days of the National Council Malta has experienced a period of increased stability and prosperity. Even the conflict with Gallia could not significantly influence the growth of the GDP as the sales of Cardamine in Kusari surged due to intricate distribution strategy our trusted allies of Golden Chrysanthemums, as well as our allies in Liberty keep up excellent existing trends in Cardamine sales, benefitting both Malta and themselves. The establishment of commercial relations with Bretonia diversified the trade and opened opportunities for mutual investments. Despite these obvious improvements, the rebellious terroristic movements keep this idea-fix that there was something wrong with Malta, and that only they possess this magic key to remedy everything they consider to be wrong with nuestra Patria, whether the populace wants it or not.

Unlike MOA, “The Republic of Malta” has some form of political agenda and organisation. The nature of the organisation, however, remains the same: a revolutionary terrorist movement aiming at toppling the legitimately elected government in alliance with their foreign associates.
We were notified that two days ago zoner businessmen doing business in Murcia system under the official licence of the Unitary Republic were contacted by the “Republic of Malta” terrorists with extortion demands. Expectedly, zoners contacted the authorities and reported such a criminal act. Now, the Senate issued a guideline effectively declaring the “Republic of Malta” a terrorist organisation. We asked for the comment from the representatives of the Senate and Su nobleza Consul Escudero himself agreed to comment on the situation.

Buenos dias, Senor Escudero. Thank you for joining us despite your tight schedule. Would you please tell our viewers, what is this “Republic of Malta” in the view of the Senate and how is it different from MOA?

Buenos dias, Marco. Thank you for having me today. Well, until recently we considered “Republic of Malta” organisation to be a reasonable and legal political opposition. Despite their claims to overthrow the government and bring war at the doorsteps of Malta, we simply considered those statements to be figures of speech to attract more public attention in conditions of their informational oblivion. A political opposition is good for a healthy political environment, so we did not mind their existence. But the recent developments with their extortion of money from businessmen legally operation under Unitary Republic’s laws in Murcia system changed that. Instead of opposing us in the courtrooms and by means of political campaigns legally, they went down the path of MOA with recourse to violence and crime. Well, it is their choice and we will act on it accordingly. Also, to avoid any misunderstanding with the use of the word “Republic”, as we are Republic ourselves, “the Republic of Malta” is now referred to as “Maltese renegades”. Ironically, it fits their tag *MR| well.

But why exactly did they decide to make such a move?

I was given reports about an encounter with them in Murcia system. While their pilot was wise enough not to side with Gallia, there still was a verbal conflict with him. It appears, their actions stem from an assumption that they hold legitimacy over our systems. It would explain their extortion as an attempt “to tax”. However, their legitimacy is imaginary: they did not participate in the elections to the Senate and/or the Council of Tribunes following the formation of the Unitary Republic despite having the capacity, so they voluntarily rejected any claims for legitimacy. Not only the populace of Maltese Hispania does not support them – they did not even have a legal option to. Moreover, any legitimacy is supported by the sovereign right to enforce legislation via monopoly on the use of force. The Unitary Republic has this monopoly, having hierarchical command over the Navy and paramilitary forces, as well as giving directions to our nobility in how to handle situations. In addition, we are recognised internationally with the House of Bretonia and the Imperium Omicronis also known as the Core having recognised us as the legal successor to Maltese Hispania, as well as the legitimacy of our regimes. Their presence in our space without being recognised by our laws renders their attempts to enforce their legislation an extortion attempt. Obviously, nobody recognises their right to do anything in our space, so now they are prohibited officially from any Maltese Hispania-owned installation.

What do you think will follow?

There are three possible options as I see it. First, is they assume their place in Maltese politics legally. To that end, the renegades will need to give over a person responsible for extortion, recognise the legitimacy of the current regime and its legislation, and renounce claims to overthrow the existing government. Then, they can be admitted to the political arena of Maltese Hispania and, perhaps join the Council of Tribunes either as a result of a successful elections or by being appointed as advisors without the right to vote pending next elections.

Second option is simply withdraw from our space and be forgotten. They seem to like Crayterians, according to what they say, so perhaps they can go within the territory of Crayter Republic or somewhere near and help the latter with the population issue or whatnot. Regardless, we will not chase them as we have more important matters to attend to.

Third option is the MOA way. If they decide to continue their current course of resisting and obstructing the legitimate government of Maltese Hispania, they will be dealt with by force. Given their obscurity to the general populace of Malta, I bet their scale is rather small. I doubt they have means for open resistance. This path will be their decimation then, as every vessel and soul lost will be a severe casualty for their small numbers and economy. Given their claimed reliance on Crayter Republic and the Commonwealth of Liberty, the former struggling with economic growth after the war and their relations with Bretonia going into dismay, the latter being a nano-state on the outskirts of Liberty in direct opposition to Libertonian military powerhouse, they cannot attract enough funding to endure a lasting conflict.

There is no preferred option to me. Unlike revolting MOA detainees with no agenda, Maltese renegades have a sane plan and they are of Maltese origin, so I wouldn’t mind the first path. But they are a tiny minority and cannot expect to bring upon their agenda and everyone to agree with it. Their questionable choice of allies is already a no go for many on Malta – while nobody can care less about the Commonwealth of Liberty, although those are left-wing playing with communism marginals, the attitude to Crayterians is strong and is unlikely to change in the nearest future. Their legitimacy is unarguably void within our space as it is recognised by no one. And we even have no idea what their domestic political agenda is. Given their liking of the Crayterians, I bet they are against Cardamine and practice of detainment which also will not earn them brownie points among the population of Maltese Hispania. More importantly, it goes against the will of the cartels and nobility of Malta who hold important role in the politics. Without their support, their attempts at reforming Malta are doomed even should they hypothetically come to power.

All in all, I say we wait for their further moves. I assure you, fellow citizens, that your interests are the cornerstone of our politics and should they oppose nuestra Patria, they will meet their fate.

Thank you very much for your comments, Consul Escudero. I believe, now our viewers have a better understanding of the picture and can make appropriate judgements. Renegades, eh? First MOA, now this. If those pendejos don’t like Malta and its culture, why can’t they just leave? K, tnx, bye – best solution. No, they need to bugger me with their news explaining they know what is best for me. Well I tell you what – you don’t. So stop playing noble Samaritans and get lost – you are not welcome by the people of Matla. (7631 like, 2422 reposts)

The dudes are weird: to seek support from Crayterians and some Libertonian commies. Not only it is a poor choice of allies as they are hated on Malta and won’t make you a good public image but also they are week – look at Crayter with their tine water ball in Coronado with but a handful of people to work with. We smashed them in the war – wouldn’t it mean they are not the best people to rely on in a struggle against a faction that already smashed them once? Instead of “Maltese Renegades” I suggest call them “the lemming movement” because a) they do not deserve to have anything related to Malta in name, and b) they are voluntarily and quite fast moving to their suicide, just like lemmings. For those who are unfamiliar with lemmings I suggest simply calling them “Moron Republic”. (3590 likes, 1333 reposts)

Have seen their previous news reports. Well made. But the form won’t substitute the sense, which is close to none. You can make a political career with such appeals somewhere in Liberty, perhaps, but not on Malta. I wonder what the local Don would say should he see what they stand for. He lost his son in war against the Crayter and have butchered many of those personally. He and his noble house probably would be very happy to see the attempts to make buddies with those. And he would be even more interested in their stance on Cardamine, being a produced. (2872 likes, 1092 reposts)

No shit, another revolutionary group. I have seen so many on my age. You know what unites them all? They fail. Well, nothing interesting here, stop loitering and go to enjoy your life. (2650 likes, 1956 reposts)

Canal 3 Malta: All Fresh News

LATEST NEWS: Consul Escudero Steps Down

My fellow citizens!

I stnad here today, humbled by the task that was entrusted on me, and proud of the nation that I could serve in my capacity of firstly speaker and later Consul of el Senado Nacional. I thank you for your trust and honour you bestowed on me and will forever remember warmly my time within the government.

I came to power in unstable time: the dissolvement of the National Council required swift actions to ensure that Malta does not plunge itself into feudal instability as it had sadly been our past for generations. With the agreement of the Legion Maltesa, to proclaim the Maltese Unitary Republic of Hispania to reclaim our Hispanian legacy and glory. In the position of a Consul I saw the end of Gallic war and the difficult negotiations that ensued. We managed to broker trusting relations with Bretonia, and protect our sovereignty over Murcia system by eradicating MOA terrorists and pushing back IMG with destroying Fort Silosso. We developed the legal codex and administration of Malta as a unitary state with vast freedoms to esteemed Dons.

Our moves, however, did not resonate with all the populace of Malta. Some people were dubious of the path we have chosen. I was protecting our ways and ensuring the stability and prosperity of Maltese Hispania in the days to come. While mostly finding support and understanding, some groups were against our path. Most importantly, in private talks with the leader of the Legion Maltesa, esteemed Senor Ezio Aquilla, we came at odds with the future of diplomatic relations. I endlessly respect the service of the Legion to Maltese Hispania and thus find it adequate to transfer the power vested in me to Senor Aquilla, proclaiming him the first Consul of the Maltese Unitary Republic of Hispania. May his representation of the people of Malta be just and beneficial for us all.

Aside from political matters, you can know me as the Don behind Cadiz Cartel Commercio de la Cardamina, also known as "Cuatroce". This is another reason for me to step down as combining political activity with the responsibility to trade is difficult as is mixing personal commercial interests with national ones. Me being in the government, "Cuatroce" used the governmental ties to secure the hegemony over some markets. A dream of a Don, but a bane for the people and free trade. With this in mind, I hereby declare the dissolution of the Cartel. We have earned enough money and now can let others to step in our place and continue our business. I wish you well, business with aspirations! Malta has always had an aptitude for commerce.

"Cuatroce" has done some service for Malta, expanding our Cardamine trade, diversifying our trade with Niobium and Titanium ore, developing Nuevo Milano on Albegna and building countless plantations on Soledad with the assistance of Estremadura in its orbit. Availing the opportunity, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my employees who made it possible. Los hombres y la mujeras de "Cuatroce" were working hard and transforming our society to the better, and most importantly - making themselves and indirectly you, the viewers, richer.

I, as a minor Don now, will continue governing Cadiz-de-Malta and sitting on my hoard of treasures earned *chuckels* in the company of beautiful women, my family, and trusted friends. I will be looking at the developments of nuestra Patria and should the developments require my presence - will answer to the call.

Also, I would humbly request the viewers of two political stances. Firstly, the matter is with Enma Loyola. Twice the traitor of Malta, she has returned and is now seeking to divert Malta from its path. While I fully trust that Senor Aquilla will keep her at bay and overall ensure the stability of Malta, I want to share with the viewers my private correspondence with representatives of IRMM, proving that Enma Loyola is a) Gallic citizen b) possibly infected c) works for the Core. While point "c" is more or less irrelevant as we have cordial relations with the Core, it speaks for her being representative for foreign political entity, and thus unfitting to represent the people of Malta. Point "a", given how much damage and inhumane crimes Gallia has committed, speaks for itself and for her loyalty, or better say, lack thereof. Point "b" is yet to be proven, however her serving with the Crimson Cross gives valid suspicions as to her condition: we all remember the atrocities of the nomad-worshipers and why they are banned now.

The second stance is the Maltese Renegades. Canal 3 has described the story in previous messages. I humbly ask you to refrain from any contacts with the terrorists and show then no political support, as well as to give them to information anathema. They stand for everything that would make us weak: allying with Crayter, banning export of Cardamine, prohibition of detainment practice, and more. While I have no doubt they will fail to find the support of the Dons, it is you, the people, who decide it in the long run. Should they miraculously come to power, it would take time for them to establish themselves as lawfuls to start trade with the Houses, while the lack of infrastructure and major export will nullify our comparative advantage. Without Cardamine profits we will have no capital to reinvest and modernise our infrastructure to keep on par with the Houses which will eventually lead to us being occupied by foreign corporations. The dream about spreading Cardamine to all corners of Sirius will also find its bitter end, failing the expectations of vengeance of our forefathers. And Gallia - never forget that Gallia will not stop at frowning at us, even should we become lawful. It is determined bu our proximity and comparative strength of the huge Gallic industrial and military powerhouse. Without Cardamine trade and influx of capital the transfer period will be harsh for our Navy, and the Gauls will surely use it. Maltese renegades are but a small faction somewhere within Crayterian space which tells enough about their "strength" and "legitimacy". So let us collectively forget aobut them and continue enjoying our way of life.

I wish everyone watching this a good fortune in the days to come. I hope to see in my lifespan the dream of Hispania restored as a House to come true.

With respect and service to the Maltese Unitary Republic of Hispania,
Hernan Escudero
