Making a signature as I have takes a few minutes because it's the simple use of BBCode to create something that resembles a signature. As for creating actual image signatures, it takes far more time and knowledge. I created a few signatures in the past, mostly by using basic GIMP tools and a bit of experimenting with some of the more advanced ones, but it's hard to explain the procedure as it takes from 1 hour to 10 hours, based on the idea, complexity, the effort needed, details, etc. Most people take the simplest path and ask someone to make them one in this subforum, while people that are willing to learn more can find hundreds of tutorials on Photoshop or GIMP on Youtube, or check Corile's tutorial to see very nice (although a bit complicated to some) example how signatures are created. You can click on every image in that tutorial, it leads to his Youtube channel with signature creation tutorial.
