Sudden Ping change - Reddy - 06-19-2019 Never happened before but my ping has increased to 260-280 from 140-150 in last few days. Not sure what the problem is. i didn't change ISP, used Pingplotter to find i have no packetloss. Dunno what the cause is. RE: Sudden Ping change - Kalhmera - 06-19-2019 Weird, no change for me here. always around 120 RE: Sudden Ping change - Darkseid667 - 06-19-2019 Have sudden performance issues, with FPS loss and terrible stutter (since 2-3 days). Anyone having similar issues? Ping is 30+ish however. RE: Sudden Ping change - ~Chio - 06-19-2019 I usually have constant FPS in conn. Suddenly when I am in the middle of a fight, my fps drops to an insane level. This has never happened before to me. When my PC can run Quake Champions without any problems, I believe this game should be able to as well. Since I got a laptop and a desktop computer, both of them have this issue. It's not common, but it happens sometimes. I know this is "Ping change" thread. When it comes to ping, I am noticing something wierd as well. Sometimes I randomly just disconnect whilst I'm trading in space. Maybe it's because of me, haven't checked reason behind it yet. This never happened to me in the past updates. Well, it is did when I was certain it was from the client's side, and its low internet connection. These issues are not extreme, but they do happen sometimes. It only irritates me when I'm in middle of a fight. RE: Sudden Ping change - TheShooter36 - 06-19-2019 That moment you can run Star Citizen at 2K DSR max graphics at steady 55-60 FPS and suddenly have mini-stutters at Freelancer :| RE: Sudden Ping change - Karlotta - 06-19-2019 If you are having recent fps/cpu load issues, open task manager, check if there is a rundll32.exe task that uses CPU a lot, and close that task if it does. That task seems to be needed to start the game, but keeps running and blocking CPU without being necessary while running the game. About the ping, I don't know. Mine is normal. RunDll32.exe is a vital part of windows and forcibly closing it has the potential to break a number of different applications. RE: Sudden Ping change - Karlotta - 06-19-2019 The rundll32 only starts when you press "Launch Game" in the disco Launcher. It's also using more CPU than the game, and shooting it down had no negative effects. I have to do it every time I try to play. To be sure, observe your task manager while you press "Launch Game", to see when rundll32 starts and how much CPU it uses. RE: Sudden Ping change - Loken - 06-19-2019 If your latency has increased that much I would assume it's some sort of routing issue, where your connection is taking a longer route to the server. |
