Developer AMA - End of the Gallic War Pt 1 [CONCLUDED] - Durandal - 08-05-2019
In a couple of hours I'm going to be recording with @sindroms in an interview about the end of the Gallic war, regarding event dates and what comes after. It's the end of an era, and as the war reaches its climax this month it would be a disservice not to talk about it.
Since this thread is going up on such short notice we may do a second podcast to address further questions here later in the week, but for now, you've got about four hours to put forward questions about anything you ever wanted to ask! Obviously I can't provide spoilers, but beyond that, pretty much anything goes!

Will NPC's be used in any sort of way to counter any possible unfair advantage to a certain side in these upcoming Gallic events if possible? ( Say PVP or PVE organised events by officials)
Will the Uncharted systems ( Like Uncharted I or II ) Ever return?
Will the barge ever become a playable ship besides SRP?
And finally: Will there ever be a way for a proper way to put money into something instead of Sci data that can be beneficial for everyone since disco has a massive surplus of cash on hand.

Are there serious plans to turn Nomads or Gammu AI into NPC-only factions and if yes, for what purpose?
Do you plan to add new equipment (codeguns for non-battleships, code-shields/code-etc, drone plugin-related stuff, other possible special equipment for whatever reason) anytime soon or in the distant future?
Do you plan to alter the PoB-Plugin in any way or do you consider it okay the way it is, both in terms of siege mechanics and in terms of production?
Do you, in retrospect, consider the server-takeover as a wise decision?
Do you plan to finish Geoff's commission he has paid for years ago anytime soon?
What are your plans regarding new/altered/merged/removed systems?
Do you think the current PvP interclass combat is balanced?
Is there anything in the rules you would like to change?
Do you see any way to positively change the community's and developer's treatment on each other?

Will Gallia stay in disco? If Gallia wont stay, how will the immense amounts of ships/assets the people have, handled? Especially the capital ships.

Is there going to be a straight white peace? - As in, Gallia will retain it's gains. Or will Gallia sue for peace offering to return Bretonian systems?
Will the Maltese be recognised as a house thanks to their assistance on the Bretonian side?

What will happen to the Taus? How will the pie be split?
- Before the Garlics showed up, this place was hotly contested. With a weakened Gallia and a broken Bretonia, what's stopping other groups from seizing it by force or even Kusari knock-knocking again?
Will Kusari attempt to 're-take' Tau-53?

How will all of the alliances forged out of desperation holdup now?
- Civil unrest in Bretonia maybe? #OffWithHerHead!
A triumvirate alliance between the Council, Liberty and Bretonia would upset the balance of power in Sirius. - Gallic Kingdom, Rheinland and Kusari co-operation maybe?
- Honestly, a Rheinland-Kusari war never made much sense to me. Especially since the Empire and the Republic were allies in the past. It might be nice to see old relations rekindled.
- That said the Kusari Empire doesn't really like Gallia, y'know, the previous war and all. And the fact they control the Taus.
Who will move into what's left of Freeport 4 in Magellan?
What's next for Discovery in general?
- For quite some time now, the main focus of the mod has been this Gallic war. While it's nice to finally have some closure to something that many would agree has gone on long enough, what's the next major event/focus for Discovery in the near future?

Will the dev team redirect focus to other sections of Sirius, namely the omegas and the omicrons?
Or will the dev team distribute themselves to help out factions across Sirius as the total prime focus has been gallia and bretonia for a good while now ?
