To: Elizabeth Hall, MP - Markam - 08-11-2019 Elizabeth Hall, MP, I am hereby reinstating your BAF commission, effective immediately. You are to report to New London at the earliest possible convenience and take command of your group, and ship. Yes, I mean to say you will be granted the rank of Commander, a step above of your previous rank of lieutenant Commander. Congratulations are in order, but we are in short supply of champagne, though I imagine if we capture a few Gallic ships in the final battle we seem to find ourselves in, we can rustle some up no doubt. But, excuse me for questioning the Admiralty's decision... It is true that I have read a thousand books on capital ships from the Steiners' library, but... I'm afraid I don't have any actual experience. Is the Admiralty sure about this? Open for Replies
RE: To: Elizabeth Hall, MP - Markam - 08-11-2019 Commander Hall, I'm not asking you to man the helm, I'm asking you to command. You have the right qualities for such a role, I have seen it in you ever since you joined our ranks, even if your father got my former Battlegroup destoyed. The servicemen under you will have your back. I'll be on my way to Aland and take whatever they see fit to give me. I'll be content even with an old Churchill. Thank you for your time, Sir. Goodbye.
(A possible enemy within the ranks and higher than her, Elizabeth thought of Redmond. He obviously didn't like her father. Jealousy, perhaps, because she knew that the York was a sacrifice and not an underperformance, for which her father posthumously received the highest decoration. Besides this, it was Admiral Steiner who was in charge of the fleet, while Captain Hall was only commanding the very ship -- but she could not blame the Steiners for anything. She was currently entirely dependent on them. Keep her head low and lurk in the shadows patiently, that's what she was going to do). Open for Replies

RE: To: Elizabeth Hall, MP - Markam - 09-02-2019 Commander Elizabeth Hall, Your efforts in New London and now Leeds has been exemplary. I have new orders for you. At the earliest opportunity, you are to proceed to Planet Sydney, BAF Headquarters "Chateaux D'or" for debriefing on your new role and responsibilities. Apologies if this is quite abrupt, once the Leeds operation is complete or your ship is forced to take leave of its participation, make your way here, we have much to discuss. Leeds is dead! DEAD! The whole bleeding planet! Have you seen it? Looks no different from... from bloody Middlesbrough! At least the docking ring still works, I hear! Hahahahahahahaha! Much help that is, isn't it? Would make it easier to ferry off all the corpses, so their lucky evacuated families can identify them... if they aren't all dust by now. Excuse me for not saluting you or any lack of formality, Sir, but worlds don't die every day, do they!? No! Not at all, and thanks God for that! Oh, I hated that place, right up until it got glassed! Sir, I beg you: let me stay with the Norfolk, and let me loose on their necks! I'll bury my bare teeth into their throats, call me a bitch or not! I beg you, Sir: when do we advance on Edinburgh!? RE: To: Elizabeth Hall, MP - Markam - 09-03-2019 Commander Elizabeth Hall, I have received the intelligence... Seen the visuals. I would be lying if I said I was not upset. But my emotions will be saved for the one with the smoking gun. The enemy battlegroups have fled from Leeds by the looks of it, abandoning the bombardment ships to our righteous fury, do not let a single ship escape. I would love nothing more than to give chase to the enemy into Edinburgh, but seeing as that system has no Bretonian citizens to save, and the fact that the enemy seems to be able to booby trap Jump Gates with Battleship wrecking defense platform I wish we had when they entered New London, it would seem entering Edinburgh is suicide. We should focus on eliminating the Embrun, and assisting our allies in removing the battlegroup in California, otherwise the Gallics will still be able to gather a considerable force that may counter attack us. As for my request for you to come to Omega 49, my orders were clear. When the Leeds operation is complete or when you are forced to retire. Give them your worst, Commander.
