Ping Problem - Major. - 08-17-2019

Hello,

I would like to get some help with my ingame ping problem:

[17.08.2019 18:59:32] Ping: 52ms (Max: 1000ms) Fluct: 0ms Loss: 27% (Max: 70%) Lag: 0% (Max: 100%)

Is there anyone here who can help us German Telekom customers, because we are seriously unable to play the game.

Ps. Contact your ISP won't help us, and using a VPN didn't worked.

Yes please. Any help would be appreciated. He is even lucky here. I suffer 200ms (formerly: 30ms) and 10-20% of everything else.
Tried the same he did, no matter what, nothing helped. I heavily suspect that the server provider's internet provider or something has super bad connectivity with German Telekom.. This is the case for months now.

PS: When the server load is extremely low, I sometimes have the old ping again. But only with less than 10 people around..and even then just sometimes.

You could check if the rundll32.exe is causing it while ingame.

RE: Ping Problem - Timinator - 08-17-2019

Well apparently im suffering a 130ms too now(since the staff change) prior to this 30ms. I tried everything so far(client sided) seems to be a routing issue to france since i have a 12ms ping to google.

A DLL is not causing any ping issues, please stay away from the thread if your knowledge is limited, thanks.

RE: Ping Problem - SlappyTheRoach - 08-17-2019

Damn you guys going on about 100+ ping mines always at 290-310 lol. I have tried everything I could, even changing DNS, ports, and turning off IPv6 leaving it to only run on IPv4. Still no change in ping, though it did run a little smoother.

So any ideas to drop ping if possible would be great, though I live a long way from where the server is based.

Persistent loss like that could suggest a hardware problem, either locally (PC hardware, router, wiring) or externally (cables, telephone exchange). Reporting it to your ISP is probably the best way to go about it so that they can run diagnostics.

Did you even read the WINMTR, because that would explain the problem… god, read the whole thread before you post here...

RE: Ping Problem - Yber - 08-17-2019

if you have eyes and have the ability to process information with minimal logic you can see the loss is due to a hop during the transfer of data to and or from the server. you can see the faulty server in the full winMTR log. the solution is to contact the company that owns the malfunctioning router and trying to have it fixed. the faulty router seems to be this one 80.157.129.202 which is owned by your isp, therefore, contact them about it.

i can't read german so i won't even try but this particular hop seems to have been problematic from as soon as february 2018.

the devs and admins can't do more than you can, which is calling them and bothering them until they fix it.

We are away of the Hop that is causing the issues.

I talked with Alley and she already said the devs/admins can do something, to fix our problems.

Calling my ISP won't do anything, because they won't upgrade the hop...
