Dear Friends,
Today was a Gin day. After my wife Mildred whipped up a quick breakfast of scrambled eggs with grilled lobster, shallots and orange zest. I loaded up the Goodgrace with sparkling blue Gin from Planet New London and set out for Rheinland.
During the trip we passed a couple of the company ships Gateway|-GSV-Tefilin and his wingman Gateway|-GSV-Timbuktu. Two finer ships I have yet to meet. With fair winds and safe travels, we continued into the Omegas where a dire situation was found.
Out of the blackness of deep space the Goodgrace was set upon by a vile Hessian thug flying the ship Bellezia. He screamed through the comm link to transfer 5 million credits to him or else. Trying to calm the situation I asked him his name, but he refused to divulge his name and gave me 10 seconds to pay or he'd blow up my ship. My friends, sweat was pouring off me in buckets, my heart was pounding and Mildred was screaming at me to pay him the money. Worse yet, I could feel the lobster and shallots making their way out of my stomach. I paid him.
The vile pirate shot off into space with my money and I hope to never see him again. We arrived in one piece on Planet New Berlin and made a tidy profit from the Gin.
