No doubt your brother Frederick has already relayed the news to you. Kaze initated an adoption process before her death. As I am Helene's legal guardian now, I will be arriving soon to your family grounds to retrieve my grand-daughter. For the moment, she will be with me and Andrew in the Summer Palace, where she will be treated as one in her position beckons.

I am afraid I won't be at home when you come calling, nor will John, William or Edmund. Alfred is the only one who will be present and given that he has taken quite a liking to young Helene I suspect she will be with her. William and I have both informed him and, although not overly happy about the news, has accepted this state of affairs as fact. He will wait with Helene at home until you arrive.
I was more than a little surprised when William told me of this, and it pains me to let her go, but if this is what Kaze wanted, then who am I to stand in the way.

Alexander,
While some would argue that it would be best for her to be in Sprague, I defer to what a child needs, first and foremost. That is why I chose her to be in Cambridge, so that the distance is not an impediment to those that were around her for these past years. Alfie, as always, is welcomed to visit. I do miss his conversations about literature, but in these times, one must do what is best for the realm. Something you understand, without a doubt. Thank you for your reply.
