We received no answer. As your current government was announced less than two weeks later, I can only assume that this was an accidental oversight due to the transition, and not a deliberate snub. To that end, I am calling you to remind you of Minister Combs' offer, and to assure you that it remains open. Rather than repeat it myself, I am appending a copy of Minister Combs' original message to this communication. I sincerely hope you'll give it full consideration and accept our offer. Past relations between the Octavarian and Maltese peoples has always been amicable, and I see no reason for that to change under the new administration. I look forward to our next communication.

Being the Don of "Cuatroce", I am aware of the agreement between my corporation and Nation Octavarium regarding trade. So far, no concerns have been raised regarding it. Therefore, I see no reason to reject your offer of establishment of formal diplomatic ties. Consider it done.

The interregnum period is over and the new government is firm and instituted. We are ready to discuss what Natio Octavarium has to offer, be it exchange of embassies, trade agreement, or other matters. As to the offer of Senorita Combs, we are ready to dispatch our representatives to oversee the establishment of an embassy in the territories of Natio Octavarium. The candidature for ambassador is not yet fixed and we will let you know of it for your accreditation.
