To: Ageira | From: BretGov - Capt. Henry Morgan - 09-08-2019 ![]() Kingdom of Bretonia Foreign & Commonwealth Office Good day, Now that the enemy has been finally pushed out of core Bretonian space, albeit at great loss, we can finally turn our eyes to rebuilding our great nation. To that end, we would like to contract your services for a number of infrastructure repairs and expansion in order to facilitate our reconstruction effort. I will list what Her Majesty's Government is requesting from you.
In payment for this construction, Her Majesty's Government is prepared to turn over all Gallic-built infrastructure, including EFL's New London Jump Gate Construction Site, for study and reverse engineering. As EFL has had the opportunity to inspect and reverse engineer your technology, I would think an opportunity to do the same would be invaluable for your company. To: Frederick Stewart of Bretonia Government - John White - 09-10-2019 ![]() To: Frederick Stewart of Bretonia Government
Mr. Stewart, Invaluable opportunity does not feed our employees and their families for all the work you wish us to "contract" for. Not only is this one of the larger "contract" that you are offering it, it is also by far the smallest "opportunity" you wish to "pay with". During the war Ageira has lost its Jump Gate and Trade Lanes to Gallia, which they managed to adapt for their own goals and now you are presenting us with "opportunity" to do the same in exchange of services of such magnitude? We hoped that you would be willing to turn it over for our research for free in the first place considering how much of its own forces and resources Liberty sacrificed in this war. It seems Bretonia is quick to forget the vital role Super Jump Gate played in the war and all reinforcements Liberty was able to send through even losing two battle fleets due to successful sabotage. What you are also suggesting is to disassemble this monumental project due to fear of history? Why are you not looking towards the future and hope that we will repair it for next-generation trans-house traffic with more research and time invested in it. We have hopes that after repairing Supergate, lost battle fleets might be collected out of wherever they got stranded. Overall, your "contract" offer and "invaluable opportunity" is highly overestimating what EFL technology is worth to us and severely undervaluing the value of our services and completely disrespecting Liberty's sacrifice in this war. This response already took more than enough of my restraint to provide respectful answer and until your government comes to realization and perhaps remembrance of how much it costs to construct and connect Jump Gate and Trade Lane Network, we have very little to discuss. Mr. Stewart, We hoped to hear a response and counter-proposal from you but it seems that your government is in no rush to put Bretonia back on track by getting repairs for Jump Gates and Trade Lanes. So here is our proposal: • All EFL Jump Gates and Trade Lanes including construction site will become Ageira's property to be studied, disassembled and replaced with Ageira's Jump Gates and Trade Lanes where possible at no additional cost. • Super Jump Gate will not be disassembled and will be repaired, if possible, with our own funding in hopes of returning two lost battle fleets and to study deep space as well as refine this new technology. • All other repairs and new constructions will be done at regular cost per contracts. We believe this is fair due to the fact that Ageira has lost its assets under your watch and EFL had more than enough time to study our designs while we have put all efforts on Super Jump Gate project which played major role in winning this war. John White, President, Ageira Innovations ![]() RE: To: Ageira | From: BretGov - Capt. Henry Morgan - 09-15-2019 ![]() Kingdom of Bretonia Foreign & Commonwealth Office Good day, Mr. White, I apologise for the lateness of my reply. There's been some developments on this end that required me to delay my response to you. In any case, those matters are settled, and we can now continue. I'll address each of your points in turn.

Mr. Stewart, We regret to inform that Ageira Innovations cannot work with Bretonia if you do not value our role in paving road to victory and are unable to transfer over captured EFL assets to us when we have poured all resources into constructing Super Jump Gate while Gallia and EFL managed to seize control of Jump Gate to have unobstructed access to study and hack it for their own needs. John White, President, Ageira Innovations ![]() To: Frederick Stewart of Bretonia Government - John White - 09-18-2019 ![]() To: Frederick Stewart of Bretonia Government
Mr. Stewart, We have received confirmation from EFL themselves that all data was successfully wiped before abandoning the station so we rescind our request to have it transferred. However your refusal shows great deal of how you respect Liberty and its corporations. This will not be forgotten when it comes to actual negotiations about the state of disarray in Jump Gate and Trade Lane Network. John White, President, Ageira Innovations ![]() To: Frederick Stewart of Bretonia Government - John White - 09-23-2019 ![]() To: Frederick Stewart of Bretonia Government
Mr. Stewart, We have been contacted by BAF and told that apparently all issues have been resolved. Which is clearly a false statement considering our request still stand before we start working on repairing damaged Jump Gate and Trade Lane network. We would prefer if you stopped relaying information to them and talk to us directly in this exact channel. John White, President, Ageira Innovations ![]() RE: To: Ageira | From: BretGov - Capt. Henry Morgan - 09-23-2019 ![]() Kingdom of Bretonia Foreign & Commonwealth Office Mr. White, From your tone up until now, and your attempt to have your President dictate to us as if we were some vassal state, rather than an equal and a partner to Liberty, I was under the impression you had no interest in further negotiations. If you wish to continue this, fine, but I expect a little less arrogance and a little more willingness to discuss this like a professional. As previously stated, with the New London Gate Construction Site no longer a point of contention, Her Majesty's Government has no issue paying the standard cost, based on past rates and adjusted for inflation, for the requested work. As to Admiral Redmond's perfectly reasonable request, I see no reason to delay even as long as you have. Is Ageira not already under contract for the maintenance of the Sirius trade lane and gate network? The repair was only enumerated in my original communication for the sake of completeness, not to imply that we needed to make a separate agreement concerning previously existing hardware. Finally, to restate my previous point on the supergate. While we feel that the supergate poses an unacceptable long-term risk to the safety of our people, and must ultimately be removed, we are not unsympathetic to your concerns. The Liberty Navy stood up for us in our hour of need, and we are committed to saving anyone we can. We are willing to allow you to continue work for that purpose, but before we approve, may I ask how you intend to use the supergate to find them? Mr. Stewart, We will be waiting for confirmation regarding EFL Jump Gates and Trade Lanes to be transferred under our ownership before starting to manufacture replacement parts or new parts for Bretonia. As for prioritization, that is up to your government to decide and provide us required information. No information on Super Jump Gate will be released as it is classified under highest security clearance. I don't have all details on it myself. John White, President, Ageira Innovations ![]() RE: To: Ageira | From: BretGov - Capt. Henry Morgan - 09-30-2019 ![]() Kingdom of Bretonia Foreign & Commonwealth Office Mr. White, Good morning. The Minister has other matters to attend to, so he has assigned the remainder of these negotiations to me, along with detailed instructions on how to proceed. I speak here with the full authority of Her Majesty's Government, in case you're concerned about my credentials and authority to negotiate. First point, concerning the captured EFL hardware in Leeds. Prime Minister Hacker already told our position to President Powell, however, for simplicity's sake, I will reiterate it here. Ageira may send engineers to join our investigation team at the Gate Construction Site for the purpose of securing proprietary Ageira intellectual property. Her Majesty's Government has no interest in infringing on Ageira patents. As to the rest of the hardware, Prime Minister Hacker has stated that they may be placed under the joint authority of both the Libertonian and Bretonian governments. Military personnel from both nations gave their lives to secure it, so it would not be proper to shut out either government. If the Libertonian government chooses to take us up on the offer of joint custody, I'm sure they will contact you in due course. On your second point, concerning the supergate. Her Majesty's Government is not interested in technical details. As previously stated, we're not interested in infringing on Ageira's intellectual property. We're only asking for an outline in broad strokes of how you intend to use the gate to rescue the Liberty Navy's missing personnel. As the operation is to be conducted on Bretonian territory, it would not be proper to keep Her Majesty's Government out of the loop.
