Battlecruiser Banisher in Alabama's main drydock
812 A.S.

Back in 811 A.S., the first Core battlecruiser was born. The AP-520 "Bullhead" was constructed, and after some more testing it was revealed it was a design worthy of mass-production. With the need of more advanced capital ships to survive in the harsh environment of the Omicrons, more designs were made by the famous AP division of the BHG Core. Two years later, a specialized battlegroup was assembled to guard Alabama and it's surrounding assets. Battlegroup "Black Star" consisted of two battleships, the Black Star and another Mako, 4 Bullhead's, which included the Banisher too, 5 Thresher's, two gunships and several snubs. In 818 A.S. it was dispatch to aid the other Core forces in the Battle of Toledo. A great part of the battlegroup was reduced to rubble, the only salvageable ships being the flagship, the Banisher and a gunship.

In 824 A.S., during a routine patrol from Capetown, amongst the green mists of Minor and the metal graveyard surrounding Toledo, the remnants of the Black Star battlegroup were all found. Now that the Core had found all of them they would either leave great monuments there or try and restore them. Despite the low odds of successfully making the ships move once again, were put back in use in 826 A.S. . All of them had armor that could easily be torn apart in the present, so new alloys mainly composed of Iridium and enhanced engine power were added for the old ships, enough to make them now a worthy foe each. The Thresher, being the last one salvaged, was dragged along to Alabama shipyard not long after the Mako and Bullhead were. The engineers were faced with a challenge now. Three capitals that were worth the restoring, even if they were to be repaired after 7 years of floating in silence among the rubble. Due to the nature and age of the ships, they had to use Libertonian weapons, and since the Core still had the designs for those, they didn't hesitate to use them. About one year and a few months since their restoration began, the Black Star and the Banisher were functional now, although the Black Star was more damaged, so it was still prone to malfunctions, nevertheless it was sent to defend Dagger in Omega-55, but the Banisher wasn't assigned to something completely just yet, so it would patrol systems surrounding Rho and Delta.

When the word first spreaded about the recovery of the remnants, many veterans and new recruits who heard or had any knowledge about the Black Star group did their best to serve aboard any ship that was part of the BK taskforce. The weird thing was that one man, who was previously the commander of a Sturgeon, was assigned to the Black Star itself, but said it wasn't for him. Being told that his last chance was to command the old Banisher Bullhead or he would loose his job he had no other choice, due to his medical problems and financial status. Due to the nature of the Banisher, it was decided to use it's original weapons of Libertonian origin, even though their initial purpose was to test how it would fare in the deep Omicrons. It was a symbol of the Banisher, a symbol to the unity and strength of the Core.

Present Day:

Today, the Banisher is tasked with guarding Omicron Delta and Omicron Rho, patrolling surrounding systems and occasionally sent on recon be it among the soft hues of Alpha, the burning orbs of the Omegas or the silent Crow nebula.
