right.. i just installed new mod on my laptop, which runs Vista,
and everytime I launch the game it crashes to desktop. Help?

I had the same problem. It's not vista, you just need a reinstall.

Make sure you have done a full clean reinstall and then if it carries on doing so, post back.
If not, then it might be bloom so you might just have to disable it.

Same is happening to me, and i have xp service pack 2, i have done clean install and still it crashes, Confused, help needed.

Uninstall. Don't press re-install.
Delete the FL folder, all of it, some .dll's will stay behind so you need to delete them.
Install FL.
Activate mod.
Play.

what you might also consider is that the download was corrupted. - so - if you made a 100% fresh reinstall - of all ( game 1.0, FLMM 1.3, modfile ) and its still crashing .... you might want to download again, delte everything again - also delete the modfile in FLMM - and install the new one.

also, after you have done your clean re-install (including clean download) you might want to go and delete all the bloom files before you activate the mod. see Silent's post on the Bloom effect.
