The Orbital Spa & Cruise story has its humble beginnings in 475 A.S, just before the Texas incident. Our founder, Tony Cortez, set up Orbital Spa & Cruise to cater to the multitude of travellers moving between the houses of Liberty and Bretonia. What started as a small luxury service pit stop eventually grew into the burgeoning resorts that criss-cross the landscape of beautiful Curacao.

In order to provide the very best to our clientele, Orbital Spa & Cruise eventually expanded to maintain its own shipping fleet. From those beginnings we began to branch out and offer passenger services as well as well as luxury cruises to those who wish to experience the grandest vistas in all of Sirius.

Despite our origins in Liberty, our company grew to become a household name in all of Sirius. We operate luxury ski resorts on Denver, the luxurious hot spring resorts on Planet Baden Baden, the striking vistas of the Poole system from Luxury Liner Shetland, the beauty of Kusari from Hawaii, and of course the crown jewel, the resort world of Curacao. From all corners of Sirius we offer the best in services to our clientele.

Recently with the opening up of Gallia, Orbital Spa & Cruise plans to expand into this new market. Coming to a station near you, ferry services to the heart of Gallia and back!

The corporate hierarchy for Orbital Spa & Cruise is currently divided across four subsidiary lines. Each line is headed by a director and the four directors sit on the corporation's board of directors. This board chooses a chairman/woman of the board to head the company and have final say on company decisions. Usually, the chairman also serves as director of one of the four subsidiary lines. The board serves mostly in an advisory capacity to the chairman. However, a unanimous decision from all members of the board other than the chairman can remove them from office and strip them of directorship of their line if applicable. If a director is removed by the chairman, they have one week to call for a vote of no confidence in the chairman from the other directors who were serving a the time of their termination. If the chairmanship is vacated for any reason, the remaining members of the board must chose a new one unanimously.

The current chairwoman of Orbital Spa and Cruise is Captain Caitlyn Cross of OS&C|TE~Red~Velvet~Club. Communications can be directed to OS&C Red Velvet Club.

Generally speaking, OS&C prefers power to be deep in authority but limited in scope. Just as every captain is sovereign of their vessel unless overridden by their director, so is the director sovereign of their line unless overridden by the chairman.

The four subsidiary lines are legally considered cruise lines and thus will often take passengers even in unusual choices of craft. So long as an employee pilots a ship with passengers, they are permitted to take the title Captain. By convention, Captain trumps all other OS&C titles, as everything else is just paperwork to keep the real mission of the corporation going forward: bringing the denizens of Sirius closer to the stars. To that end, there is no higher calling, and no more important title, than Captain.

White Star Lines is the publicity and communications division of OS&C. Tasked with publishing Wanderlust magazine, WSL captains seek to be the public face of the corporation. Their accommodations are luxurious, their parties legendary, and their vessels fully compliant with all partner house laws. WSL captains seek to project the image of the corporation that will inspire passengers and lawmakers alike to smile favorably upon the corporation.

Triton Expeditions is tasked with pushing the boundaries of OS&C excursions. From exploring uncharted systems to providing forbidden experiences to a jaded clientele, TE takes pride in boldly going where no routine commercial service has gone before. Not for the faint of heart, their ships carry more shielding and experimental cloaking devices compared to their WSL cousins. While WSL wants to be seen, TE expeditions often aim to survive the roughest corners of Sirius by any means necessary, though doing so in style and luxury when possible.

Orbital Network Express is the logistics wing of the corporation. Tasked with keeping luxury goods and basic essetials flowing throughout the luxury fleet, ONE ships are not as glamorous as their peers but just as vital. Keeping bases and liners supplied is a full-time job, not to mention expanding OS&C's brand to new luxury goods such as Curacao-grown tea. There are many ways to bring OS&C's signature luxury to every corner of Sirius, and ONE ships bring that luxury to the masses in bulk.

Spa-SEC is the security division of OS&C. Luxury liners make for particularly tempting targets due to their valuable cargoes and published routes. Pirates and terrorists seek out corporation ships as easy targets, and Spa-SEC makes those who present legitimate threats to corproation vessels pay dearly for their folly. Tasked with turning credits into vengence, Spa-SEC is the stick to complement the corporation's carrot. If the rougher elements of Sirius refuse to be diplomatic, Spa-SEC forces stand read to make them think twice about hitting Orbital vessels twice.

Orbital Spa & Cruise is a Libertonian registered corporation that specializes in tourism, hospitality and services. Despite being registered as a Libertonian corporation, the company has been given permission to operate in Rheinland despite the Libertonian - Rheinland war. The corporation prefers to be considered a Sirius-wide entity rather than a Libertonian corporation, but does not mind using its Libertonian heritage to its advantage.

Orbital Spa & Cruise operates in multiple regions of Sirius and offers liner tours to remote but beautiful regions of space. However, the vistas are only the tip of the iceberg. Far from the eyes of the law distracted by White Star liners playing nice, Orbital Spa & Cruise's customers engage in less than legal practices, indulging in drugs, illegal artifacts and various other sinful experiences. Orbital Spa & Cruise also acts as the middleman for various less than legal organizations like the Hogosha and Corsairs in the Sigmas.

The multiple wars have had its toll on Orbital Spa & Cruise's market. Due to the Gallic - Bretonian war, the Luxury Liner Shetland was damaged while retreating from the Edinburgh system and was repurposed to a field hospital in the Newcastle system. This represented a heavy loss in assets in the Bretonia region. The Luxury Liner Makinac was launched as an effort to recoup losses, but the margins were slim. The failure to gain permits for presence on Planet Tomioka from Samura, the Blood Dragon's presence in the system and extortion from the Hogosha have stifled its abilities as a replacement thus far. Eventually it was decided that the venture was in the red and the liner was pulled back to the New Tokyo system before eventually being destroyed in a GC attack known as the Kabukicho Affair.

Planet Baden Baden has always been a bit of a liability for Orbital Spa & Cruise and statistically is its poorest performing asset. The Libertonian war and the general preference for Planet Curacao has resulted in poor margins and uninterested crowds. Orbital Spa & Cruise has dropped the prices of packages to Baden Baden in order to try to attract bargain hunting tourists from across Sirius. However, new access to Gallia via Cologne and Zurich have increased interest in Baden Baden as a resort work for Confederation citizens curious about how the other half lives.

Due to Orbital Spa & Cruise's operations in Edinburgh in the past, the Gaians have always seen Orbital Spa & Cruise as an enemy. Tour packages into the fragile ecosystem of Planet Gaia and the extraction of endangered species to furnish the menageries of the rich and powerful have made Orbital Spa & Cruise the enemies of many green movements across Sirius. However, due to the advent of the Gallic war and the Gallic occupation of Edinburgh, the Gaians have shifted their focus to the Gallic Enclave.

“War is bad for tourism”. War creates risk, uncertainty and a lack of spending money. Nobody wants to go on holiday when there is a war happening nearby and their pockets are being taxed to fund the war effort. Unfortunately for Orbital Spa & Cruise, the last few years have been a hotbed of conflict. The Liberty – Rheinland embargo halted trade and tourism between the two houses. The burgeoning luxury goods trade originating from Liberty had to take a good detour through the Omegas or Sigmas and Rheinbier was on great shortage in the ski resorts in Denver.The Bretonian – Gallic war created conflict zones that denied keen consumers the breath taking views of the Edinburgh system and the pleasures of the companionship of a Gaian Bird of Paradise. Worst of all the Luxury Liner Shetland was caught in crossfire and was eventually pushed into service as a field hospital.

“Post-war on the other hand…”. The Gallic war has seen ceased. A new government resides in Gallia and Bretonia has begun to lick its wounds. Although the risks of an unstable market, a war torn population and the Gallic Enclave may deter trade, but there still remains much to take advantage of. The current main goal of Orbital Spa & Cruise is to take advantage of the instability and casualties of the war in order to further its hands into the pockets of both Bretonia’s recovering economy and the untapped opportunities of Gallia. However, it is unlikely that the Enclave has forgotten the role of OS&C in the war, assisting in the evacuation of Leeds and resisting the crown's patrols when they pushed into Cortez with whatever security escorts the corporation could muster.

1) “War creates change, change creates opportunity” - Take advantage of the end of the Gallic war.

a. The creation of historical museums and war memorials may pave the way for tourism and profit. Working together with the government may even help provide tax exemptions
b. The more well off population of Bretonia may seek places to get away from the stresses of war. An advertising blitz for the Bretonian upper class may work.
c. The poor in Bretonia may be bereft of property and credits. It may be difficult for them to find decent paying jobs in a war-torn Bretonia. This presents a great opportunity for Orbital Spa & Cruise to cash in on some cheap labour.

2) "A new market is a goldmine, clean, untouched and ripe for the picking” - Tap into the Gallic market.

a. Gallia is known to be a beautiful place. The new government may be interested in foreign trade in order to revitalize a war torn economy. And we may be interested in providing tours to the region.
b. The Gallic property market is probably in shambles, the defection of nobles loyal to the King means that a lot of large residences may be reclaimed by the new government. These large residences probably cannot find buyers in a war torn Gallia. If possible, purchasing some of these properties would be a cost effective method to build resorts and acquire a stake in the Gallic market.
c. Gallia's in-house tourism industry was bought up and dissected years ago between IDF and EFL. With both shippers focusing on other routes, they seem uninterested in contesting for the tourism market. Should that change, well placed friends in the less than legal circles of Sirius might suddenly find incentives in keeping Lucullus class liners on "their" side of the sector.

3) “Information is important; it tells you where the money lies” - Take advantages in changes of the landscape of Sirius.

a. There exists a new group of Corsairs seeking to establish friendlier terms with the rest of Sirius. So long as they can guarantee the safety of our clientele, there might be a new market to tap into.
b. The Core has opened up Planet Nauru to civilian visitors. Although dangerous, perhaps having one foot in the Omicrons may pave the way for new markets. At the very least we can have our bolder clients sign indemnity forms.
c. The development of a Rheinland - Gallic highway via the Zurich system puts Baden Baden at the forefront of a possible influx of Gallic tourists. This may be an opportunity to revitalize Baden Baden's slowing industry.

4) “Nobody ever got rich by being honest” - Engage in more illicit activities for the sake of profit.

a. The richer the client, the more depraved their tastes. Or at least that’s what our marketing department statistics tells us. Cardamine, artifacts and slaves are your standard fare. Build relations with their suppliers and we can continue to provide the best in service to our best customers, no matter the legality.
b. Rumors speak of a drug made in Gallia called NOX. Information on it is scarce, but the more mysterious the drug, the greater the demand and price paid for it. Find out who makes it, strike a deal with them, then market it to Sirius at inflated prices.
c. War creates casualties, both physical and financial. Some poor sod might want a quick buck and some rich sod may want a replacement for his liver. Let us help these two find each other. Find a few doctors who got fired for malpractice and spread rumours of quick credits to some Bretonian refugee shelter. We can invite them on a nice cruise to some place far away from the eyes of the law.

Kusari
Relations with Kusari have generally been sour. The lack of trust between Kusari in general and foreign companies means that growth has been slow. The destruction of Mackinac was a major blow to OS&C operations in the empire, but the importance of planet Junyo in keeping luxury seafood on our menus cannot be overstated.

Rheinland
Ever since the Liberty - Rheinland war, relations between Orbital Spa & Cruise and Rheinland have beeen lukewarm at best. Baden Baden is statistically our poorest performing property discounting Luxury Liner Shetland which has its own unique circumstances. Planet Stuttgart plays an important role in keeping many of our luxury food items on the menu. There have been few attempts to improve relations thus far.

Gallia
Having had only very minor interactions with the Council, Gallia remains new ground for Orbital Spa & Cruise. Is it a land opportunity or a hostile environment? Orbital Spa & Cruise thinks it is the former. With formal licenses being granted and high profile excursions executed, OS&C has found a foothold in the Confederation. However, it has yet to face a serious countermove from Gallia's native hospitality industry, the only real rival to the Corporation.

Crayter Republic
Our neighbors in Cortez thanks to the jump hole near Curacao, the Crayterians don't seem to have a taste for high luxury. They do have a mutual interest in keeping trade flowing freely through Cortez, so mutually beneficial partnerships (especially given the treaty of Curacao) are possible.

Outcasts
Pirates that endanger our clientele and hit our shipping, but at the same time the producers and dealers of cardamine. Undertable deals with various syndicates happen, but unplanned encounters present a danger.

Corsairs
Pirates that endanger our clientele and hit our shipping in the Omegas mostly. In the Sigmas, they are purveyors of fine artifacts and regularly exchange goods with the Hogosha on Luxury Liner Hawaii. Treat them nicely.

Hellfire Legion and Liberty Separatists
Being a Liberty-chartered corporation, OS&C must maintain nominal hostility towards rebellious groups to our home government. That being said, Hellfire is tolerant of the Barbados in Vespucci and Battlegroup Harmony seems content keeping dangerous pirates out of Hudson, the major conduit for traffic to Rheinland from Liberty. They do not seem to bother OS&C vessels, and as a result we try to stay out of their way.

Junkers
Kings of the black market across Sirius, except Kusari. They may not be the classiest of individuals, but they are excellent information brokers and middlemen. Beware of unexpected encounters outside of house space though.

Hogosha
In Kusari, there are no Junkers, instead there is the Hogosha. Highly conservative with close ties to the Hogosha, they view outsiders like us with suspicion. Deals with them are rare, we tend to act as the middlemen between the Corsairs and the Hogosha in dealings aboard the Luxury Liner Hawaii. Watch your step around the Hogosha, be wary but respectful to them in Kusari if we still intend on being on decent terms with Samura.
