Hello, miss Ikeda.
My name is Rell Harrow. I hold the position of Rheinland Director within the Congress and know little about Kusari, so I do hope that you will forgive any cultural transgressions of mine. The Arbiter asked me to reply to this communication and handle the contract. Should my presence here not be to your satisfaction, then I can attempt to direct the comm to him, though he is very busy right now. I am as well, but I managed to move that appointment with the lab engineers back a bit to make time for you.

Anyway. The price you offer for the tungsten is sufficient and we should be able to fulfill the contract within one to three days. The proof of transportation will be delivered as you have requested.

Sadly, I am not a common visitor to the Kusari sector and somewhat new in my position. I am unaware of the location of the station you named. I assume it is in our paperwork and file servers somewhere, though I can't find any entries about it at the time of recording this communique.
If you give me the location of Kinkaku-Ji, then I will have the deliveries started.

Rell Harrow.

Konnichiwa Harrow-san,

I never had the pleasure of meeting you yet. I am Ikeda Yume and I handle most of the official communications. Kinkaku-ji is our latest station, created by and under the command of the Gen'an Chrysanthemums. You will find it in Shikoku, sector 3 C.

I also want to mention that Junkers are welcome to stay on Kinkaku-ji and it offers varous facilities that may be interesting to you. You may notice the sizable scrapyard floating around the station from an earlier battle against the KNF. We pay Junkers well who are willing to salvage this valueble scap for us.

Miss Ikeda Yume.
I just received word that the deliveries have been completed. As such, your request has been fulfilled.

I was curious about the scrap you mentioned in your earlier message. Our transport captain who handled the contract did a few surface level scans on the materials surrounding the station. Many of them have either entered a stable orbit around or are drifting away from it, meaning that they are unlikely to become a threat to the installation itself.
The scanners also picked up on some of the materials. Much of it is beyond repair and can only be smelted for its raw component elements but we found signs that some pieces of equipment may not only be worth salvaging but could also be in repairable condition. The computer parts are obviously charred and molten but a few power lines and what looked like some life support filters could still be of use.

That may not be all, though. The true gems of a salvage operation can only be found after the obfuscating debris has been cleared. According to a rough energy signature scan, there seemed to be still active batteries in there somewhere. Military grade batteries of the kind that are commonly used in weapons construction. If these are still attached to weapons and if said weapons are still repairable is somewhat questionable but we can't know for sure until we have taken a closer look.

Would you be interested in granting the Congress salvage rights in exchange for some of the juicier pieces that we would find?

Signed, Rell Harrow.

We can confirm that the entire delivery has arrived and faster than we expected. We will certainly contact the Junker congress again for future cooperation.

The scrapyard is the result of a battle between the KNF and the alliance who gathered to defend our station a couple of months ago. In the highlight of the battle, the KNF laid siege to our base with a sizable capital fleet, among them were several tokugawa-class battleships. A large strike force of bombers destroyed the KNF attack force, resulting in the scrap field your captain witnessed. We sometimes refer to it as the tokugawa graveyard.

We were already wondering how much of it can be salvaged. Technologically it could be a gold mine to us, but we aren't experts in salvaging operations. Imagine if we could repair one of the lesser capital ships back into working order using the various working components we find. One can always dream ne?

We are willing to give the Congress the salvage rights to this scrapfield. We had already set up a section of the station where the valuable scrap can be brought to, with the prospect of starting salvaging operations. We are will pay 6,500 SC per unit of military salvage and 5,000 SC per unit of premium scrap. Do you agree to these prices?

I have brought your proposal to the Arbiter and it has received approval.
The Congress will send a few people to begin work on a proper survey. They will likely take up your offer of using your station's facilities. One of them will be named Alexander. I recommend cutting him off early in the bar.
Once we know what exactly we're working with composition wise, material collection can begin. We rarely work on scrap of Kusari tech origin, so this might take a bit. Or not. It fully depends on what we find.

The prices you proposed are agreeable. Also, we are curious about the average storage capabilities inside the base that you have assigned for military salvage and premium scrap respectively. I pose this question because we don't want to accidentally bring in far too much or underestimate your storage space.
As for the debris, we will transport that to our own smelters, where it will be reshaped into manifolds.

Signed, Rell Harrow.

It is good to hear that Congress approved of our proposition.

Kinkaku-ji can accomodate your people and we will make sure to ready their quarters. I will tell you about the station so the Congress will know what to expect of it. Recently we finished an expansion project to increase the amount of people we can house on the station. Sector 1 is public access to our allies and business associates, to which we count the Junkers. It houses the docks, repair stations, living quarters, the bar, trade centre, and our newly constructed embassy for foreign diplomats staying on Kinkaku-ji.

Sector 1 is build around Sector 2, which is our shrine. Originally Kinkaku-ji, which translates to the common Sirian tongue as 'temple of the golden pavilion', was created mainly as a shrine station dedicated to the founder of our movement Yuyu Matsuda and the goddess Amaterasu. However due the KNF siege and the frequenting of our allies on the station, it quickly became a major diplomatic and trade hub aswell. And it still expanding. We are willing to offer the Congress access to our shrine section if they are interested, but the priestesses there will require you to follow their rules. Sector 3 of the station is off limits to unauthorised personel.

Back to the scrapfield. We want to keep informed on any notable finds the Congress makes during their salvaging operations and we will be ready to offer our assistence when we can. Right now we reserved enough space for 25,000 units of Military Salvage and 25,000 units of Premium Scrap. You are free to take the debris that is beyond repair and has no significant value to us

Miss Ikeda.

The survey has been completed and work on the salvage operation has begun. We are starting with the debris and salvage that is not in a stable orbit around or near Kinkaku-Ji and would leave the station's proxiomity within days to weeks. Once that is completed, we will begin work on the "graveyard" itself.
The surveyors and workers have been told to keep away from the shrine aboard your station until they fully understand your customs. Some are interested in your structure, some aren't.
Be that as it may. The first two hauls of salvage have been brought in. How quickly future ones arrive fully depends on what we find within the scrap field.

Signed, Rell Harrow.

Miss Ikeda.

Work is progressing nicely. The runaway material has been cleared and work on the "graveyard" itself has begun.
I have good news and bad news for you.

The bad news is that none of the vessels, weapons or even just additional equipment like thrusters are in repairable conditions with the exception of one capital ship thruster.
The defending pilots have seriously overdone it. Many of the vessels are little but large hull sections that only hold together because they haven't been subjected to any noteworthy gravitational pulls as of yet. Some of them crumble and break in the sheer presence of one of our salvager frigates. Also, we have found most if not all of the batteries I have talked about. None of them are affixed to any repairable weapons or systems. The destruction is near absolute.

This is where the good news begin. The destruction is near absolute. It is not entirely absolute. None of the equipment itself is repairable. However, some of their components are in near pristine condition. A power coupling here, a set of conductors there. Some of the smaller crafts even have intact engine channels that can be reused with only minor corrections. Much of it will need to be disassembled so that any broken missing components can be replaced. Some of the simpler pieces might be usable out of the gate but you should at least be able to reverse engineer some of the salvage.
And while the larger ships are beyond any hope, a few select hull sections are just shy of total ruin. They can be reshaped without giving up much of their strength and you could try to pinpoint their general composition if you have any metalurgy specialists.
You could, of course, work with our people on this matter but I thought that we aren't to decide that. For now, our captains have simply deposited some of the material in question on Kinkaku-Ji.

I don't know if this is any help to you. Still, it is what we found. Efforts are still ongoing and the remaining work is vast but we are making steady progress.

Signed, Rell Harrow.
