Multiple FL Issues - Aztech - 03-10-2009
Ok everyone.
No matter what I have tried, my Freelancer has never worked properly. First it wouldn't install, after many months of trying I eventually managed to install it, then I had SERIOUS trouble enableing the 4.84 mod but eventually after much trying it eventually worked. Then I couldn't connect to the server for a month or two, then I removed Norton 360 and then FINALY! I could connect to the server... For short periods of time before it crashed.
I installed the 4.85 beta and everytime I tried to boot up Freelancer is said "Fatal Error: Freelancer did not detect a 3D capable graphics card"
I De-activated the mod and re-enabled it twice but to no avail, same problem.
I then tryed to enable 4.84 and and it said "FLMM detected the mod would not activate properly, no files where changed" I reset the backups and deleted the autosaves and still neither mod would activate so I uninstalled Freelancer. Now I tried to install it again and it says "WARNING DirectX Setup Failed. Freelancer requires DirectX and may not run properly. Click ok to continue" I click ok and another issue comes up again saying "Freelancer setup encountered an error while reading C://blahblahblahblahblah Please check if the disk is in the drive. I'm not using a disk because the last time I tried using it the instalation was corrupt so now I am using an extracted ISO file I downloaded.
I updated DirectX and am at my witts end as to what the hell I'm gonna do.
I desperately need Freelancer Working as I am going to be a main participant and creator in an exiting new Freelancer based thing (We will tell you all about it soon!)
So PLEASE! I NEED to get this working so can someone help me? It's Desperate!

ok seeing as your having so many problems, my first question would be, are you using a pirated version of FL, or a burned copy?

AHHH!!! IT BROKE ITSELF!
We had it working and then we tried to run FL Server and that worked fine, came to run FL again and "Freelancer did not detect 3D capeable video card".
I still need help!

Gotten similiar message before. There was an option to ignore and it did not affect gameplay.
