Devs require majority approval from community for major changes - Saronsen - 12-15-2019

do i really need to write anything else

this is probably the only solution left

mob rule as durandal put it

the dev team has no oversight besides themselves and do whatever they please, out of nowhere, and clearly not to the benefit of the community

that's where the community comes in

by comparing the number of yes/no votes, and delaying the change until a sufficient number of people have voted

heres a good example of a majority vote

id say thats a very large portion of the playerbase voting in a way that falls under majority

OSRS, for example, has a development based on majority votes, and even if they create something, it may never see the light of day if the community votes it down. this is a very successful system for an online game with a large community that is just as old as freelancer
