ID: Jonathan Seabourne Location: OS&C|Breezewood, Planet Houston To: Deep Space Engineering, Liberty Construction Firms Subject: Bid for Station Construction Greetings friends, This is Captain Jonathan Seabourne of the Breezewood, director of OS&C's White Spa Lines division. We are in the initial phases of planning for the possible construction of a small space station in the Cortez system near the wrecks of the Yukon and the Betheny to serve as a memorial and museum to the Cortez front in the Gallic war. We considered trying to do everything in-house, but we are skilled at managing ships and planets, not stations, and were looking to see if we could benefit from the collective expertise of our fellow Liberty corporations.
Essentially, what would you charge to construct a viable station in that location, including sufficient security measures to defend the station from threats? Ideally, we'd like it to be a clean transfer of credits for the station's access codes. We'd also welcome guidance and expertise in regards to managing and maintaining the station, with the possibility of establishing long-term contracts for the station's supply and upkeep. We consider this an open contract and welcome bids from any and all Liberty construction firms. We would entertain offers from non-Liberty corporations as well, but would prefer a Libertonian one. . User ID: Jaina Wheeler Recipient: Jonathan Seabourne Subject: Introductions, Project information, Quote . Good day! my name is Jaina Wheeler and I work for Bristol Constructions and Manufacturing. We're based out of Bering and very familiar with building and maintaining installations of all sizes. Now I would love to create a quote for you. We just need a bit more information on the project. Just to confirm; you actually wish to order a complete installation including shield modules and defensive platforms? How many exactly? How big is this installation going to be. Have more detailed plans been made about the layout and facilities of the installation? Will your company take care of the formalities with the authorities? We have plenty of experience in the field, just let us know what exactly you need and we will be able to help you out. Good bye! Transmission Ends

ID: Jonathan Seabourne Location: OS&C|Breezewood, Planet Manhattan To: Jaina Wheeler, Bristol Constructions and Manufacturing Subject: Re: Introductions, Project information, Quote Greetings Ms. Wheeler: Even a brief conversation with an expert in the field reveals how much there is to learn about station construction! I am not intimately familiar with the defensive capabilities of the various technologies you've described, I've only seen them in their idle configurations on other bases. While I do not anticipate this base being subject to constant pirate attacks, I could not rule out the possibility of an Enclave terrorist attack, and so we want to weigh all defensive options. I was hoping you could give some me some pricing levels and options to give us an idea of how to weigh security with costs.
For the station itself, we won't require anything terribly fancy. The ability to dock vessels (including Liners without the need for tenders or shuttles), display information about the conflict and the wrecks, and provide a cafe and gift shop (which my second officer assures me will be "tastefully" stocked, whatever that means). Of course, we'll need sufficient onsite storage for the crew and the supplies to keep them and the station running but we do not require any manufacturing capabilities. We would also like the station to be aesthetically pleasing, but I don't know how those extra features complicate the construction process. I suppose the best course of action would be if you could provide 3 or so proposals: the bare minimum of a hull that can hold atmosphere, one that can stave off nuisance attacks and provide basic amenities, and one that can deter any threat and looks amazing while doing so. If you have locations of your other previous work, I can tour them in my personal craft and see what elements I would want to emulate as well. I look forward to hearing what you come up with, Regards, Jonathan Seabourne Captain, OS&C|Breezewood Director, White Spa Lines Division > > > > Closing Transmission < < < <

TO: Jonathan Seabourne New York, Liberty Space Greetings,
We do apologize for the late reply to this, we've been inundated with work and internal crisis'. While I see that Bristol have come forward to apply for the contract, we are in a position to be able to either handle this entirely for you or work in conjunction with Bristol (Or any other parties tasked with it). If you are looking for a quote then I will need to get further information from you. If you are interested in our services, get back to me and I will get our Special Operations Manager to action this for you. ID: Jonathan Seabourne Location: OS&C|Breezewood, Planet Manhattan To: President John Doe, Deep Space Engineering Subject: Re: Bid For Station Construction Greetings friend, Our goal is to create a small museum to the Cortez front of the Gallic war for the Battleships Yukon and Betheny. It feels wrong to just leave them adrift in the system, and I think many in Sirius would like to pay their respects.
To that end, we need a station capable of docking Liner class vessels without the need for tenders or shuttles. The station needs sufficient storage and quarters for its crew and supplies, but we do not need any manufacturing capabilities. Just a small cafe and tasteful giftshop, as well as a place to post exhibits and information about the ships and their final battle. However, we do have some security concerns as well. We cannot rule out a terrorist attack by the Enclave or Gaians, and so would also be interested in defensive capabilities. Ideally, we'd like passive defenses for a war memorial, but pricing out more active weapons can't hurt. Ideally, we'd also like the station to be rather attractive and not just a random depot in space, but we are flexible on that front. I suppose the best course of action would be if you could provide 3 or so proposals: the bare minimum of a hull that can hold atmosphere, one that can stave off nuisance attacks and provide basic amenities, and one that can deter any threat and looks amazing while doing so. . User ID: Jaina Wheeler Recipient: Jonathan Seabourne Subject: Introductions, Project information, Quote . Good day! considering all the information you gave us and assuming that you will get the necessary licenses from the local authorities I can try to make some quotes. Though especially for the last two, we cannot quite estimate all costs. It is a massive project after all where plans can change frequently.
As you see a fairly simple quote. It would not even take a week to get it operational.
For option three I will have to inquire with specialists regarding armed platforms. Ours have been set up by a third party. The station size required to coordinate these will be significantly bigger. If you wish to look up further information, installations are essentially classed by a tier list called 'cores'. All quotes are for a core 1 size installation. While an armed one would require at least core 2 to be of any defensive use. Good bye! Transmission Ends

ID: Jonathan Seabourne Location: OS&C|Breezewood, Planet New Berlin To: Jaina Wheeler, Bristol Constructions Subject: Re: Introductions, Project information, Quote Greetings Ms. Wheeler, Your quote for option 2 seems reasonable. I appreciate the itemized listings. Given the nature of the project, I think opting for shielding but not weapons platforms is the way forward. Whether or not OS&C can move forward at this time will depend on the licensing expectations of the relevant governments. Orbital's legal team is currently reaching out to the Liberty government. We will let you know if the pricing is right to move forward with a shielded and stocked base.
