Read the titel, i would like to know if anyone here knows why i can't connect to the server anymore. With 4.84 and my old computer (xp) i could play without any trouble. But now, with my new computer (vista) i can't anymore. Some people say it's because of AVG, but i had the same program on my old computer and then it didn't give any trouble.
So is there anyone here who can help me.

A recent update to AVG caused my once easy connection to the server to cause all manner of annoyances. So I got rid of it. I also now have the habit of running everything in Vista as an administrator, even when logged on an administrator account.
I have no idea of how anything works inside computers. To analogise: just as I find the digestive process in humans interesting, I still will not perform surgery on myslef to see more graphically what my intestines look like up close.

Avast will work with Vista + FL if you just tick off the Network Shield component when you install / re-install Avast.

Vista and AVG do not mix. XP machines can run avg and freelancer fine... Vista machines get an error message when trying to connect to a server.

Looqas, are you using avast or AVG?
AVG is the one where people are having troubles with.
