OVERVIEW
A jump hole generator has been activated in Omicron Theta by the ship Order|SD-Prometheus.

The event will run until Monday, February 17th.
Rules and Limitations:
- Local sat-buoys have picked up the anomaly as well as the identity of the ship that activated the generator. Any and all RP consequences will apply.
- During the time of the event, IDs that have ZOI in the corresponding systems will have their rights extended to the connected system for the duration of the event.
- The sell price of Azurite Gas on Calais Research Facility has been reduced by half for the duration of the event.
- The event may end prematurely if resultant activities harm server gameplay.

I thought the point of such events is that they don't affect commodities, thus somewhat organically creating new trade routes for their duration. I feel like nerfing Azurite defeats the point a bit.

Keeping the price the same creates a scramble to benefit from it, meaning more traders to pirate.

Before you start your witch hunt, I'm just following what it says here.
There are still plenty of other routes that this will make more profitable than usual, it's just one sell point.

It was a single sell point with an extreme reduction in length of route. There is at least one other sell point for the same commodity that remains buffed by this jump hole.
Additionally, if extremely profitable trade events ran every week then people would soon tire of them, or have no reason to participate.
