Modern technology is advancing rapidly, to make people's lives easier. That's not the only ambition where we can use the available technology, as there're many fields where improvements should be made for the maximum efficiency, mostly in common battles in the space that occur, against many rivals possessing capable weaponry of dealing lots of damage to any type of ships. With the recently constructed "Tokugawa" class Battleship among the Kusari Naval Forces, it's experimenting with many unique weapons placed accordingly to be used as a surprise in the battlefield. Such classed ship is possessing an immensive powercore, that can handle power-draining turrets as these ones, that can waste the powercore quickly, but deal reasonable damage.
Meanwhile in the Kure Shipyard's construction rings of the Naval Forces Guard, their engineers are setting up many unique weapons on the ship, whilst constucting a KNF-114-229 "Heavy Ion Blaster" weapon from the Kusari's database keeping many weapons in its database. As this weapon's already known to the Naval Forces - they build many, they keep constructing more as they can prove efficiently in the combats, wasting their opponent's powercore to the point it's unable to fire heavier turrets. However, the weapon is complicated to be built - requires special conditions within the laboratories, and it takes several days for the general construction.
Such process is mostly confidental, but several details are revealed. Firstly, transports carry rare particles found in the deep space, rich with such particles that can't be obtained that easy. Those materials are combined in a highly dense but small energetic field that's surrounded by protective barriers in the weapon itself, connecting to several tubes where the particles are rapidly released once they get triggered by a chain reaction happening in the weapon itself, releasing large amounts of energetic particles that can penetrate into any ship, and target its powercore, thus, drain it significantly. How the weapon is casted can be seen through a colourful burst of the energetic particles moving fast through space.
With the weapon constructed after a couple of days, the people commading the project, ordered twenty engineers to take place in the space, to install the weapon in the specific slot, where the location of the weapon is allowing it to be used in a long radius. The installation is mostly about connecting the weapon through the conducting systems towards the ship's main powercore, where all the tubes are connected to creating a somewhat complicated picture of all the connections. It took them several hours to properly connect it, as there were many engineers inside the ship connecting it to the main powercore.
After the installation and detailed analysis of the weapon and its behaviour, ship departed outside the Kure Shipyard towards the exit of the minefield, to test the weapon upon artificial ships, to test overall drain it can cause and test the general stability of the weapon. Testings showed right - the weapon overheated to the expected level, and drained the powercore reasonably and wasted "rival's ship" powercore noticeably more. With the finished testings, now the ship can resume its duties and surprise its rivals and use the turret in its advantage in the combats.
