Bounty Hunters Guild reorganisation - Athenian - 03-13-2009
We have started a skype chat to look at a shake-up in the BHG with the intent of creating an organisation that would allow the disparate groups to work more closely together.
I've invited a lot of people to participate in this discussion. PM or post your skype details here if you would like to get involved.
Anyone is welcome - this is intended to be a major change and a pretty big overhaul that would make the Guild what it should be: a broad faction with a good reputation that has leadership spread out but who work with each other in game.
There are plenty of very good and experienced players out there - but playing a BHG seems to be of secondary interest for most people.
I'm proposing that other people put themselves forward or nominate others for the leadership of this organisation. I'll facilitate a discussion and I have a few ideas of my own, but I think it's about time the Guild really established itself properly in Discovery. It doesn't need one person at its head, least of all me.
If it means the S/D vanishes in its current incarnation then I'm prepared to do that. We did what we set out to do, now we have a structure in place that other players can use.

Here's what I'm proposing.
1 - the S/D changes its tag and history removed/footnoted in our faction status
2 - it becomes the Bounty Hunters Guild - the description of the faction becomes more close to the Discovery canon
3 - the Core is the Guard part of it - this exists already
4 - the whole thing is led by established people - not me
5 - the new faction uses the s/d official status and owned system as its own
6 - Guildmasters (1) for each of the houses - Liberty, Rheinland and Bretonia (hell with Kusari) and Tic as Guildmaster for the Core (which he is already)
7 - all current hunters can be in both
8 - new guys work in houses to prove their mettle and get a Core ship later once they have proven they are not nubs
Proposed tags - the existing [Core] and BHG|Name - open to suggestions on this

It's not about making a centralised faction or having people wear a tag - it's a question of organisation and putting the BHG on a footing it deserves: a large official system-owning faction with a good reputation that is composed of really good players. Every person has the opportunity to establish himself or herself still. Bear in mind I'm talking about our entire group being absorbed into this as well.

Interesting idea. I would like to follow the developement of it.
Because it will surely unite BH and will make the Guild interesting place to work in.
....Imagine.... Coming reports of current situation in almost whole sector.
Sure it is a next step to make the Guild a real power.
