Hola, amigos,

My name is Rodrigo Tejada, Capitan of the Marbella and faithful servant of the Imperio.

I'm sending this notice in advance of my interest in utilizing your drydocks at Pacifica to tend to the battle damage my ship has sustained in the field of battle while traversing the systems of Rheinland. I expect for the stay aboard your station to be swift, and expect to depart as soon as the repairs are complete.

Should you have any questions, I will aim to answer them, but before all else I'd like to get my ship seen to before fate has its way with her.

Adios.

The technician poured over the communication with the grouchy stoicism of a man who was good at his job, although short on details.

Vær hilset, Captain Tejada. A scrapped hull to turn back to her spic and span newbuild. It is rare we see the line ships of the empire at our dock.

Say na more, captain, we will bring your hull back from the brink. I will need some information so we can set the cradles properly before you arrive. Depending on the size of your ship, we may take up repair operations in Hamburg, instead. What is the class of your hull? What components do you need us to repair first? How did your ship take the damage - what did her in, and how?

Quick and fast is the enemy of cheap and safe. We won't tax our friends, but a crate of Cretian Coffee would go a long way to keeping my technicians in the Freeman Drive Commune on their legs. If you 'ave tribute to bring with you, you can expect a better quality of service. We'll treat 'er like one of our own either way, but we don't believe in the boot, Captain. My men will go faster if they've got a goal. The price and manner of payment is in your hands, brother. Goods and information have a value as much as money. Any contribution will be divided up between the technical arbeiters, but we do want you to have enough for the long voyage home.

We will get your ship back to operation, but the Empire does not trade us the specifications of Corsair equipment. We will craft retrofits, but not every system on your ship will operate the same as when you departed. We will 'ave to brief your chief engineer throughout your stay here, load you up with a surplus. She'll work as good as new, but she won't be the same vessel that left Skiros, na man.

She might be better.

The work will be done to measure. Get us that information and it'll go fast, captain. We're the best technicians in Sirius. If ya' need an escort up to the belt, I can call you in an escort. We like to keep our customers in health.

Senor Brennus,

I'm pleased to hear of your glowing willingness to show me and mine the Unioner's hospitality.
To clarify the Marbella's ailments, she suffered greatly at the hands of a number of Military patrols across Rheinland space. Her modified 'Murmillo' structure served us well, but ultimately was barely able to escape a patrol outside Hamburg's orbit. For now, we are mobile, and her design accounts for a life of distant voyages. I suspect she won't be hard to repair, but does require a drydock to accomplish so. Where you start with the repairs I will leave to your shipworkers, as I am in no hurry to rush work on the pride of my personal flotilla.

Rest assured, you can tell your men and women in the Commune that we have the fuel to keep them going. Our supply of Cup-o-Crete is normally reserved for officers and well ranking personnel, but I suspect they won't care if the ship can get them back home.
We are nearing the entryway to the Tanner Belt as I send this. Further escort won't be necessary, and despite our damage our weapons are still up to my desired levels.

Adios.
