Question regarding Gallia Faction/s - Fletcher - 03-13-2009
Now then, 4.85 is around the corner we all know that and can't wait right? Neither can the Gallian role players, fair enough I say, let them have a chance, I won't get into an argument about that they Trev did.
No, my question is this.
When 4.85 does come around, what would happen if somehow two groups of roleplayers both roleplayed as the Council or God forbid the Gallians.
How would we be able to decide who gets official status if they both go through the proper procedures? Would it be down to numbers? Roleplay quality? Money? Or just getting in first?
This is on my mind, might be on you guys too, how would it be decided if this scenario does come about?

I think official factions for any gallia alignments will be closed for a while even after 4.85 release, so that people can actually learn about the factions before applying to become official.
At that point, it will probably be down to how well written their proposal is, and how well the rest of the community views the players of the unofficial faction before it's approved to go official.

I think it'll work much like the current un-official -> official transition for most factions.
If the un-official faction coughs up the cash and shows that they are responsible in that role and people are pleased with them doing that, then there's no reason to not allow them officiality, come 4.85 proper that is.
If there are two proposals for the same faction, merit will show who is a more favourable choice.

We'll be putting them in a bear pit and seeing which faction leader comes out alive. Basically the same thing we do with every other faction.
