'Most Wanted' Gallic collaborator Lord Wilson apprehended for treason
NOTTINGHAM - Bretonian authorities today confirmed that the notorious collaborator Lord Evan Wilson had been apprehended in the Nottingham System. Wilson is to be remanded in custody until sentencing before a military tribunal on the charges of high treason and sedition during a time of war. These charges are eligible for the death sentence at the discretion of the presiding tribunal judges.

Throughout the Tau War and Gallic Invasion, Lord Wilson served as the head of the Leeds Crown Civil Service, acting as the most senior civil servant in the system. Wilson rose to infamy in 820 AS during the Gallic invasion of Planet Leeds. Following the evacuation of Governor Robert Nicholls, Wilson elected to remain behind to coordinate the defence of the 7 billion remaining Bretonian citizens. Upon taking possession of Leeds' emergency government, Wilson did the unthinkable and formally surrendered to Gallic forces as they made planetfall.

This abject betrayal of the brave Bretonian soldiers and civilians who were preparing to defend their homes granted the invaders complete and unchecked orbital superiority after the planetary defence grid was deactivated. This led to the formation of the so called Wilson Government of the "Bretonian Protectorate". This conspiracy of traitors comprised of of local collaborators - a puppet state instituted at by the Gallic Royal Navy in order to foster sedition among those steadfast Bretonians who continued to resist the imperialistic conquest of their homeland.

Wilson vanished after being evacuated by Gallic forces during the genocidal slaughter of the Glassing of Leeds. Since the end of the war, Wilson has consistently topped Bretonian 'Most Wanted' boards, with steep rewards for information leading to his capture. During today's press conference Chief Constable John Steiner advised that, "[the BPA] had been pursuing various investigations relating to Lord Wilson for some time. Officers boarded a transport and apprehended a suspect near Aland Shipyard after receiving actionable intelligence that Wilson had falsified identity documents and was attempting to covertly enter Bretonia."

Wilson is the most prominent and senior collaborator out of tens of thousands of Bretonian citizens who face prosecution for providing aid and support to Gallic invaders during the war. How the state should respond to such cases is one of the most divisive issues of the current domestic political landscape, with views ranging from execution to amnesty.

Wonderful news, I hope the bastard will be executed in the most painful way possible.

Although if Wilson wanted to enter Bretonia covertly, how did he end up in Nottingham of all places, since as far as I am aware, the Enclave aren't really based around there, perhaps Wilson isn't only the Enclave's puppet.

Despite the actions of such that Lord Wilson partook to allow Gallia's capture of Leeds, I believe it is pertinent to understand that the actions of Lord Wilson prevented many lives from being lost, if only in the moment. While we cannot excuse this eventual allowance for the Royal Navy to bombard Leeds in the end, I implore whatever personnel that oversees Lord Wilson's tribunal to account for the overwhelming forces we were combating during those trying times.
I too believe such a horrific lack of courage and compliance with the mortal enemy of our great nation deserves immediate and just punishment, but I also believe that each man's action must be judged on the environment of the time and place that they had made such.

May Lord Wilson be treated justly at the hands of his peers, and should he meet a grim end, his name will be remembered, be it in fame or infamy.

Good on our boys in the BPA! I don't know what's so divisive about his fate, though. There's only one thing to do with collaborators. #ShortDropSuddenStop
