So, i want to move from piloting a small fighter ship and start learning how to use the big guys, so i started with the outcast destroyer, liked it from the first glance, and i could affort it, no regrets. But seeing there is many weapon options, i need advice.

It depends on how you position yourself.Acting alone or combining forces with your teammates.

Generally, the standard setup with most dessies is Mortar+cerbs, with 2 pulses then cruiser turrets.

I was thinking more of a jack of all trades, as a convoy for malta smugglers, or just general extra firepower.

Put 3 pulses, 2 Cerbs and a Mortar.
