OVERVIEW

As Rheinland tears itself apart in a bloody civil war, the sector looks on in horror. Despite this, the conflict is seen by some in an altogether different light - there is an advantage to be pressed, should one have the courage to do so. The preoccupation of Federalist and Imperial forces with one another provides a momentary strategic window that the Red Hessians have been waiting for, and long awaited plans are put into motion. Red Hessian scouts begin jumping into the Cologne System to test the mettle of its defenders.

Tholey Station is largely administrated by the Bounty Hunters Guild, who have already noticed the increased Hessian incursions in the area. A warning has been issued to the RFP that the system's budget is nearly empty, and unless action is taken to address that issue, the Guild will be forced to pack up and leave. In the immediate short term, the Guild is prepared to assist the small Imperialist garrison with defending the area until the pot finally runs dry. Once it does, they will down arms and leave the system.

Should the funding run dry, Tholey's Guild liaisons will provide the Imperials with 24 hours warning before pulling out. Philanthropistic individuals may prevent this by purchasing Imperial War Bonds ($10,000 per unit) on Olpe Border Station and donating them for free to Tholey Station. This will prevent the Guild from retreating, at least until they've spent their funding again.

As the system garrison send repeated distress calls to New Berlin, it does not seem that anyone is listening or otherwise able to help...

DETAILS

Rewards for kills are to be granted. All participants earn $5m per kill, except for BHG ID'd ships which will earn $10m. At server restart, I will check to see if BHG ships have claimed at least 10 kills, and will post a warning in this thread advising that the budget has been depleted if so.

On the following server restart, the BHG ID will be removed from the event. If at least $100m of Imperial War Bonds (10,000 units) are shipped from Olpe to Tholey before then, this will be prevented. Please note you will be shipping these at a loss, and keeping the Guild involved only means there will be additional in-game allies for the Imperial players during the event.
  • The price of the BHG Pilot commodity has been increased to $45,000 on Northeim Base, Omega 54.
  • The price of the Rheinland Military Pilot commodity has been increased to $45,000 on Battleship Karlsruhe, Stuttgart.
  • The price of Red Hessian Pilot commodity has been increased to $45,000 on Tholey Station, Cologne.

UPDATE: Coalition and Federalists have been added to the event to create a three way fight. The Bounty Hunters Guild has only been contracted to remove the Hessians and Coalition, and will not receive points or payments for attacking Federalists at the present time.

Date:
Sunday 12th April - ongoing

The Valkyrie.

It's an epic German Opera by Wagner. Also the name of the vanilla RM heavy fighter.

Sorry to hear some known from before players can't make it.

I'll be there with my SMR snub. In case I actually MR someone, I'll gladly imagine it was Wesky.
