Good day,

I am contacting you due to the unfortunate circumstance in Trans Alaska Corridor, Alaska System. A Naval Captain named Lunch I mean Lynch threatened deadly force on my vessel for simply idling within the Corridor. Several times he asked me to leave and his "thirteen years of experience" and what not. Dude sounds like a real charmer... Not. Anyways please update this "veteran" member of the 5th Fleet would ya? Thanks.

Good morning, Chief Holiday,

My name is Mark Ferguson, current standing commanding officer of the Liberty Navy's Third Fleet, and advising officer to the Admiralty of the Liberty Navy Fifth Fleet.

First and foremost, I must thank you for remaining calm and collected during this exchange. I won't elaborate on what may have happened had the events been different, so thank you.
Captain Robert Lynch is indeed a thirteen year veteran of the Navy, originally an exchange from the Third Fleet to the Fifth following the deactivation of much of our combative assets. I must ensure you that Captain Lynch was merely doing his job as he saw fit to. As the senior-most officer of the Liberty Navy on scene, he has by law the authority to act as he must. I must also remind you that the Liberty Navy is an autonomous branch of the Liberty Armed Forces, and as such, with all due respect, is not required to follow orders from non-Military personnel, even the Chief of the Liberty Police, Incorporated. Please remember that the Liberty Police are, for all intents and purposes, a corporation, and in cases where criminals are not apparent, are still subordinate to the Liberty Code.

With all of that in mind, I will concur that Captain Lynch was acting out of line, as Liberty law does permit your corporation to operate within the Trans-Alaskan Corridor. While all Liberty Military personnel are required to be kept abreast of changes to the Liberty Code, the amendment to allow Liberty Police corporate vessels within the corridor was not made openly apparent, and I believe that is what sparked this confrontation.

I will notify Captain Lynch's superiors, and recommend that a warning be placed in his portfolio. I will also notify the rest of the Fifth Fleet's personnel of the amendment to the Liberty Code that permits Liberty Police corporate vessels to operate within the corridor.

Thank you, ma'am, and have a nice day.

Mark Ferguson
Admiral
5th Fleet, Advisory
