In the chaos following the fall of debris on Marseille, resulting from the battle of Provence between the Coucil and the Monarchy, Corsican families played an essential role in the rescue of the local population and the reconstruction of the planet.
Among these families, Famiglia Casanova. They were able to take advantage of the economic recovery to extend their NOX business to the entire system and quickly to the confines of Gallia. Today, they possess a strong hold on the NOX market and production, nurturing ambitions in both expanding their business in Sirius and get more influence in the Corsican Senate.

Marseille Parliamentary Group

The Marseille Parliamentary Group is a new political group within the Corsican Senate. It brings together different senators from Marseilles’ families that wish to take advantage of the reestablished order in Gallia and the Confederacy’s desire to open borders, to extend their field of operations to Sirius. Establishing a long-term presence abroad requires heavy investments in both security and infrastructures, which families of Marseille cannot carry alone. With more influence in the Senate, the chance of obtaining fundings in this direction is greater.

Codes of conduct and diplomacy stay very close to Unione's ones. The GPM does not seek political dissent within the Unione but to influence its decisions in favor of the group's economic choices. The group also need to strengthen its ties with the Gallic authorities to reduce pressure on the local black market while focusing on expansion operations.

The GPM relies on a standardization of procedures and resources of its members. Smuggling routes are shared, to improve both profitability and security, Kusari and Rheinland being the priority export territories. Assets and facade companies are merged as well as the arsenal, fleets and commandment. The Group wants to interact with local organizations and its allies for the distribution of its products. It is by acting as partners that business grows: underwater or in space, cards are the same, GPM's families know that. By doing this way, they also aim to keep low profile with foreign authorities.

The Group has a particular attention to avoid any kind of confrontation in Gallic space. Raids on Gallic civil or military ships are prohibited, except cases of force majeure and with authorization from the Group. As a Corsican, a Capitan must know how to use his tongue, and his wallet, to settle any conflicting situation.

On the contrary, the GPM wishes to reinforce anti-Cardamine operations by more targeted raids on Outcasts positions and more frequent patrols to intercept independent dealers, so that NOX doens't suffer from any competiton.

Finally, the destruction of Leeds by the Crown is an unspeakable event, of nameless savagery, which reminds all families the humanitarian disaster following the fall of debris on Marseille. As such, while avoiding a direct confrontation, the GPM wishes to increase the pressure on the Enclave, by funding raids and sharing information with the Confederacy.
