Salutu Signoras y Signores, members of the Parisian Assembly,
I am Ghjilormu Casanova, Senatore of Unione Corse Senate and member of Gruppu Parlamentariu di Marsiglia, Marseille Parliamentary Group, a political formation that aim to protect interests of Marseille’s people and Provence as a whole.
We do reach the honorable Parisian Assembly as concerning EFL operations have been conducted in Provence, operations that deeply worries our people. For few days, EFL S.P.A. engineering ships are regularly observed around the wreck of Battleship Arles. It is easy to understand these are initial salvage operations, that, I admit, are expected once battlefields screams are silenced.
But we are here in a very specific context.
There is no need to describe again the brutal battle of Provence, opposing Battleship Arles to Battleship Oblique, which resulted in the cataclysmic fall of debris on planet Marseille. These events are recent enough so that you remember the terrible images. However, people of Marseille need to explain to the Assembly their attachment to the remains of this battle.
Battleship Arles is the visual representation of our pain. Anyone could think it is preferable to erase these wreckages, clear the past and focus ahead. But not les Marseillais. We are proud and attached to our scars. They remind us where we came from, the accomplished paths, the overtaken challenges and the bloody price they cost. Battleship Arles is our wound, the cemetery of the people wiped out by the Great Fall. Many of us frequently fly near the Battleship, to celebrate our dead or to narrate our horrendous story to foreigners. I am here underlining the importance of Battleship Arles but it concerns the numerous wreckage surrounding it.
If EFL S.P.A. pursue their salvage operations, I can assure you that les Marseillais will react as they will be hurt. People are still very affected by the Civil War, all around Gallia. They’re fragile as well as the peace they carry. We absolutely need to maintain the frangible tranquility in our systems to prevent falling back into the meanders of hatred and death. I can already image the disaster that would be riots in Marseille, and I’m sure you all do as well as many of you often come to Provence for their vacations.
Honorable members of the Assembly, we hereby demand the creation of a war remains conservation zone, an open space historical museum, a memorial to the Second Civil War. This area should be protected against any salvage operation from anyone and kept as it is: silent, cold, terribly true. Our future generations need such places to feel what they didn’t live, to visualize what they couldn’t see. It is when we forgot the past that the dark times return.
We truly hope the distinguished Parisian Assembly will answer favorably to the desperate call for help from their citizen of Provence. In any case, Gruppu Parlamentariu di Marsiglia is at your disposal for any further detail, explanation, testimony that would support our cause.
Sinceramente,
Ghjilormu Casanova

Salutu Signoras y Signores, members of the Parisian Assembly,
Even though we did not receive any official response for the respectable Parisian Assembly, we duly noted the suspension of salvage operations by EFL S.P.A. vessels. As such, and in the name of people of Marseille, we express our infinite gratitude for your fast decision making, the right decision to take.
But I am afraid that this second missive won’t only carry gratitude feelings. Though panic lowers in our hearts, fear is still spreading in our heads. Trust is something difficult to earn but easy to loose. Clash of the Titan in Provence had dramatic consequences in the trust placed in authorities, Crown or Council, hence the Confederation. The simple suspension of the operations won’t convince our people that their irreplaceable cultural assets are considerated. They need a firm and definitive answer, answer that I’m sure you all know what it consists in.
The GPM understand such a decision requires time to be made, but not the people. Doubt, apprehension, anger are expanding all around the Minarchy. Even local newspapers are fuelling these feeling by mentioning the ELF's operation. We need to act quickly before losing control of the situation. Corses are currently supporting local authorities to lower the ire of minarchist, but we can’t ensure you how long we can handle this.
Sinceramente,
Ghjilormu Casanova
