====================
Type: Ships
Bug: Docking and undocking from bases in certain systems produces very low quality LODs.
====================

I docked and undocked within Ontario and the ship looked like this(take note of the weird pattern where the engine grill is):

In order to reset the problem and get it back to normal, I had to go to Colorado and do the same thing, which seemed to work and made the ship look normal again:

Here's an entire album of comparison shots if you need them. Not really sure what causes this to happen but it does make the ship look as if the graphics settings were turned down in some way, even if they have not been.

This model doesn't have LODs. Are you running on an AMD GPU by any chance?

Either that or it's a known issue with vanilla if you Alt-Tab while loading things. Solution is don't Alt-Tab while loading, we can't fix that

Nvidia and no, this happens while tabbed in and undocking from a base within certain systems. For reference, even if I alt-tab while doing this in Colorado, it's fine. But even if I stay tabbed in while doing the same thing in Kepler or Ontario, it seems to break and act like it hasn't loaded in correctly.
There's a cult of NoMe?

Freelancer breaks sometimes. Who knows, man?

(In all seriousness this is most likely an engine bug we can't fix, and isn't reproducible consistently between our systems. If we do ever figure out why we will attempt to fix)

I've found a lot of textures like to just, snag other textures from other ships and resources now and again, with the corsair light battleship being a prime example of that. It'll just snag textures from other ships in the system, usually the Arbiter if it's around.

Freelancer code is a spaghetti factory tho

No, this is happening because whoever made the Corsair Osiris knock-off, forgot to assign unique material names to its ugly black lib texture copies.
It will grab ANY texture at random, which contains the same names (like Hellfire legion stuff, Liberty cap ship textures and so on).
It used to happen with the Harmony Separatist dread, but then got fixed by Cameron after doing CRC hacking (to avoid a complete re-export).

Okay, thanks for the clarification.
