Steve,

I am sorry to report that Clew Bay is no more.

At 20:52 Manhattan time I emptied what cash was left in the vault and loaded the surviving crew members into the <CBMA}-Crocodile.Rock and we launched from Clew Bay, under heavy fire and a near instant missile barrage from their ships I managed to barely escape. Of the 400 Crew members on the station only 250 were left when I escaped, we are all a little worse for wear but thankfully BMM granted us safe haven and are currently treating our wounded. It looks like we will all make a full recovery if a little shell shocked.

Give us a couple days to recuperate after that we await your orders friend.

We tried to defend the base, we gave them hell, but in the end they were too much. Genocidal pricks, I know you are a businessman and want to make deals with people but I don't think these people are interested.

Vincent,
My old friend this is not news I was expecting to hear.

I only just got back to Bretonia from my business in Liberty, communication with the base and our associates has been spotty at best.
I am glad to hear you were able to get some of the crew and yourself off the station, It is upsetting to hear how many of our people were lost but good to know some were able to be evacuated from the base. The money is a secondary concern compared to our people.
I am sure our people put up as much a fight as they could but we both know at the end of the day we are primarily traders and miners not combat pilots, it was only a matter of time before someone with something to prove came around and started trouble.
You and the survivors rest up, I will make my way to meet up with you for a more detailed report and to check on the crew.
We will need to check personnel lists against the survivors to see who we have lost and make sure any family we can reach is notified.
I will reach out to any of our miners or transports that might be out and see who we can get on hand for reconstruction efforts and to decide on the where, when and how of establishing a new home and base of operations.

The base destruction is a set back, we will rebuild. Clew Bay was not just a base but an Idea brought to life through the hard work and support of all our associates.
It was my own naivety that made me think of establishing a neutral space for free trade open to all. The Enclave have shown they only speak in violence, somehow I feel we would have better chances with diplomacy with a Molly or a Nomad.
