The Nonsense Factory
Prototype weapon - LOG_1

In the corner of the station that some just think its a hunk of junk floating in space. The "Factory" -as many refer to it from the inner circles- is actually a functional and busy place. Busy keeping all the Liberty Rogue ships flying and functioning. For a while now. I've called this place my home. A corner to test and develop my personal stuff. I'm still an engineer by heart... but Rogue in the mind. That's whats let me try to assemble these "prototype" weapons for our Destroyers... However, it's not the easiest task.

Almost everything we know about this weaponry is speculation and a huge pain to figure out all the different blueprints available on the neutral net. Its a real mess...
Most of the problems occurred when the differences in the power consumption needed to effectively charge the dissolves and keep the stabilizer levels at a common rate that doesn't create a loopback high enough that will melt the controller. In simple terms: Firing the weapon. This is a very powerful technology... but our power outputs and input systems need upgrading. I must say working on my own Destroyer always brings back good memories. From all the coolant leaks... to reactor failures... good times.

I don't have sufficiently fine technology like the Lane Hackers... but I can get this thing functional. Its power drain is a bit unstable.. but that will not affect the main reason why this weapon is such a big thing. That plasmatic "ball" if you wish to call it that way, can do some serious damage to any hull panels. My smaller tests had no issue melting trough basic armor plates. If my calculations are correct, my ship's power core will be able to handle two of these turrets with good enough stability that it will not blow up in the first action. Well, I might not have the sophisticated tech to do the fine calculations... I can still eyeball things fairly accurately

In the future, I might import some higher quality heat sinks. But these will do for a while. Now all I need to do is to month these prototypes and test them out in life.

Fort McMurray
Salvaged Tech - LOG_2

I wish i could be in the safety of my workshop but not today. Today I went salvaging and I got some things to looked that's for sure.. even tho there is not much to look at after the storm destroyed almost everything. Our little fort here is strong and safe for now.
The Lane Hackers were always a mysterious bunch. I never wanted to share or help their fellow underworld people with technology or information freely. But this time... There are nowhere to be found to stop me salvaging their old outpost. After gaining the coordinates to one of their highly esteemed outposts in the good old Alberta system, I slowly made my way through the storm and rocks that left behind. The view is... horrifying to say the least

The outside sensors were not the most effective ones... what a surprise when we never got access to better ones... but anyway. A little spacewalk never hurt anyone... i mean... it did but I was fine.
There is not much left to be honest. The base is very "wobbly" if you wish, unstable corridors and bays. Docking my lady to it wasn't an easy task either, in this storm, its own generators can bearly move matter.

I managed to find some damaged data collectors or bulk collectors that seemingly just floating around in abandoned places, as well I managed to get a really god scan with my portable scanner about the structural integrity and build-up of the base. I must say the scanner arrays are amazingly complex and powerful once they are actually all built up. I also found some components that must have been left behind when the evacuation took place.. they must have thought that their base will survive the blast of the storm only to realize that it won't hold long. After I returned to my ship I headed to Fort McMurray for smaller repairs and cleanouts, and to record this log. Once I'm back to my workshop I will closely examine all the data collectors and other scraps I found... maybe I can use them for something useful and maybe.. but just maybe.. i can reverse engineer a few things to get a better understanding of how they work and who knows.. maybe implement it on my ship.
